The palace of Oba Timothy Akinsanya by Orungbe II, the Ewusi of Makun-Sagamu kingdom became a mini tourism center on Sunday, Sept 20, 2020, as dignitaries from across the country marked their presence at the official coronation of Hon Adewunmi Onanuga as the new Yeye Oba Ewusi of Makun-Sagamu kingdom.
Hon. Adewunmi Oriyomi Onanuga is the Ogun House of Representatives member representing Ikenne/Sagamu/Remo North Federal Constituency in Ogun State.
Oba Timothy Akinsanya in his speech revealed that Hon Onanuga had demonstrated leadership traits in various capacities and had proven beyond every reasonable doubt.
In his speech, Gov Dapo Abiodun who was ably represented by the State Secretary-General, Mr Olatokunbo Talabi revealed that the celebrant is a worthy leader who had represented and is still representing the good women of Ogun State on many fronts.
Hon Vincent Oforonu, the deputy chairman, house committee on women affairs who also spoke with City People noted that the celebrant is passionate about the growth and development of her community especially the womenfolk.
Present at the event was the Hon Minister of Women Affairs and Social Development, Mrs Dame Pauline Tallen, the Akarigbo of Remo Land, Oba Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, other top Obas in Ijebuland, Members of the House of Representatives, Adron boss, Aare Adetola Emmanuel King, politicians, APC members in Ogun state, family, friends and well-wishers.
