I was really nervous. This was the first time in my entire life that I would actually set out to go visit a boy. I could feel sweat oozing out from every pore on my body. Even my legs trembled under as I stepped through the gates of the house Bobby had described to me in the address. It was a fairly big and neat looking house, a block of flats.
“Wow! You’re looking sweet, Rosie!” Bobby said the minute he opened the door. He seemed truly excited to see me, and I must say it felt seeing a handsome looking boy like Bobby getting excited over me. “Thank you, you’re looking cute too.” I told him, meaning every word of it. He had on a wine coloured T-shirt that fitted his body perfectly on a nice looking pair of Jeans. His well-cut hair, clean looks and neat appearance was sure to make him a fancy for many girls. He could quite easily have gotten the girls eating from the palm of his hands, he was truly that cute. But the question that had been preying on my mind all this time was, why me? Why did Bobby choose me over and above al;l the other girls that were available to him?
He led me inside a nicely furnished sitting room, the sort I would’ve liked father to get for us.
“Please, sit down, sweetheart, you have no idea how glad I am that you actually came,” he offered me a seat. “Was there any trouble getting here?”
“No, not really, it was quite easy to locate,” I’d answered, feeling extremely shy and looking away from his eyes.
“Where’s your uncle, is he around,” I asked him curiously, just to be sure.
“Of course, he’s not around at the moment, he’s gone to work.”
“And his family?”
“He’s not married, he’s planning to settle down next year.”
Bobby sat down right next to me and threw his arm around me. I quickly swallowed a lump that seemed stuck in my throat. He was starting to get too close for comfort.
“What can I offer you, my Princess? What would you like to drink?” he was gazing seductively into my eyes.
“Em, not now, maybe later,” I answered.
“Are you sure about that?”
I nodded in the affirmative. He said okay and then began running his hand through my hair and down my neck. I could feel my body starting to react to his touch, it was such a strange feeling and I was not sure I wanted it to continue. Gently, I reached for his hand and took it from behind my neck.
“I have a few questions for you, Bobby,” I said to him, looking him in the eye.
“Oh, okay, I’m listening,” he responded with confidence as though he was well aware of what I wanted to ask him.
“What really do you want from me? I’d shot at him. “Why me? Why have you chosen to come after me?”
Bobby smiled. It was that same charming smile with which he’d won my heart weeks back. “Don’t you know by now what I want?” he’d asked me.
“No, I don’t, you tell me,” I’d shot back.
“I want your friendship,” he’d answered. “I’d be honoured to be the one you call your sweetheart.
I didn’t quite know what to make of all he’d said, didn’t quite know whether to believe him or not. But sincerely, I liked the way he said it. He made me feel so special.
“Rosie, will you be my girlfriend? Will you let me care for you and show you love?” he’d gazed deep into my eyes as he cooed those words into my ears.
I was speechless. I didn’t know what to tell him. I guess I didn’t have the liver to tell him anything. And Bobby, smart guy, took my hesitation as a cue and planted on my kiss a quick wet kiss. I didn’t know what to do. Couldn’t move my lips. And when his tongue began probing into mine, I parted my lips and let him in. Then, I closed my eyes. From that moment, I had no idea what was happening. I was starting to feel really weak and helpless as he ran his fingers over my body. Then, I felt Bobby’s fingers crawl up into my blouse and found their way into my bra….
