Nigerian singer-songwriter, Chidinma Ekile, popularly known as Chidinma has joined the league of artistes who would venture into the acting industry.
The ‘Kedike’ singer is set to play a lead role in Kunle Afolayan’s romantic movie, The Bridge.
She will feauture in the film alongside Demola Adedoyin, Ayo Mogaji, Zack Orji, Kunle Afolayan, Tina Mba, Adebayo Salami, Lere Paimo and more.
The kedike singer, took to Instagram to announce the release date of the film.
The film depicts a Yoruba prince, Obadare and Stella, a young lady from a distinguished Igbo family whose relationship is threatened by tribal prejudice and parental plans for each’s life.
The 2010 Project Fame winner, has joined a list of iconic talents branching out from the studio and delving into the movie scene.
The movie is produced by Lasun Ray-Eyiwumi, veteran filmmaker, and will be directed by Kunle Afolayan.
‘The Bridge’ will be in cinemas nationwide December 8.
