When the coronavirus raging in most countries of the world entered Nigeria, it revealed further the poor state of health facilities in the country.
Lagos, which was the first state to record a case of the disease, swiftly moved to renovate its infectious disease centre located in Yaba.
While some states are converting some hospital facilities to isolation centres, others are still waiting to record cases of the virus before doing the needful.
Last week, Abdullahi Ganduje, governor of Kano, said the state government had set up an isolation centre in the event of an outbreak of the disease in the state.
His media office shared photos showing the centre in good condition on social media.
But when Journalists visited the facility it looked dilapidated and abandoned.
