Last week, the Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun swore in 18 out of his 19 Commissioners, with their portfolio. Recall that the political family of the Governor from different camps waited for the list of his cabinet for more than three months before the list was finally forwarded to the Ogun state House of Assembly for proper screening of the nominees, they were all screened and passed for swearing-in. OLUDOTUN TAIWO
Oludotun Taiwo was the All Progressives Congress (APC), House of Assembly Candidate for Abeokuta North Constituency in Ogun State, Hon. Taiwo Oludotun, is the Ogun State Commissioner for Rural Development, he contested in the last House of Assembly election to represent, Abeokuta south 11 state constituency. He is popularly known as Twinee and one of Senator Olamilekan Yayi that metamorphosed to Dapo Abiodun political family, he has a popular car wash and hangout in Akin Olugbade area of Abeokuta.
GANIYU HAMZAT
Hon. Ganiyu Oladunjoye Hamzat, is the Commissioner for Community Development and Cooperative, he was a ranking member of House of Representatives, he is another son of Oba Mufutau Olatunji Hamzat, who has been enjoying political power and influence, courtesy of his father. He has been a member of the lower chamber of the National Assembly since 2003.
FUNMI EFUAPE
Mrs Funmi Efuape is a former chairman of Sagamu local government, she is the new Ogun Commissioner for Women Affairs, she was an arrowhead in Yayi for governor campaign which metamorphosis into Dapo Abiodun’s campaign train. This pretty female politician of repute played a key role in leading the women towards the success of Dapo Abiodun’s governorship election ant till date, she still plays the role of a women leader across the state, her effort and huge role in the present government has earned her to be among Dapo Abiodun’s commissioners.
DR. OLUWADARE KEHINDE
Dr Oluwadare Kehinde the new Ogun Commissioner for Youths and Sports, He Aspired for Ijebu East/Ijebu North and Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency.
Dr. Oluwadare Kehinde, popularly called Hacco was born on the 19th of June, 1983 in Ijebu Ife, Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun State, Nigeria. His father, Chief Johnson Omotayo Kehinde, known as Haccogen hails from Iwaya/Ijebu Ife/Itele while his mother Mrs. Tale Kehinde hails from Ijebu Ikija, Ijebu East Local Government Area. His maternal grandfather, Chief Fesojaiye Idowu is one of the Baales of the Onikija of Ikija while his paternal great grandfather, Otunba Onas Ogunyoku was the former Otunba Shimadegun of Ijebu-Itele.
BARRISTER FEMI OGUNBANWO
Oluwafemi Adeleke Ogunbanwo popularly called OMO-IWA is the Commissioner for Special Duties, he was born on the 7th day of October 1967 in Ijebu-Ode to the families of Ogunbanwo-Osiewu and Idowu. His late father Amos Ayodele Ogunbanwo was until death in 1975 a businessman. His mother, Mrs. Comfort Ogunbanwo (Nee Idowu) was a primary school teacher until her retirement.
OMO-IWA is an indigene of Ogun State from Ilado in Odogbolu Local Government Area and has lived most of his life at Imepe Quarters of Ijebu-Ode in the state and the neighbouring state of Lagos. He was called to Nigerian Bar on the 16th December 1992 upon qualifying as a Barrister and Solicitor of the Federal Republic of Nigeria with a Second Class (Upper Division) Degree from the Nigerian Law School. While at the Law School, he served his tutelage with the law firm of Tayo Oyetibo & Co in 1992.
JAMIU AKANDE OMONIYI
Jamiu Akande Omoniyi, is the new Commissioner for Housing, a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA), is aspired to represent Yewa North/Imeko-Afon Federal Constituency, Ogun State, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
his foundation has impacted individuals, groups and communities across Yewa North Imeko Afon Federal Constituency with life-improving programmes and projects such as scholarship for indigent students, provision of potable water in communities where the essential element is scarce, skill acquisition training for the unemployed, financial empowerment for widows, funding of school essential facilities such as clinic in our schools, supporting extra-curricular activities like inter-house sports competition among others.
SAMSON ADEOLA ODEDINA
The new Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr Adeola Odedina was born on 21st May 1966, Dr. Odedina attended Lisabi Grammar School, Idi-Aba, Abeokuta, Ogun State from 1979-1984; Federal College of Agriculture, Akure from 1984-1986, Federal College of Agriculture, Ibadan from 1987-1989. He holds a M.Sc. in Crop Science from Rivers State University of Science and Technology, Port-Harcourt and Ph.D. in Crop Production from the Federal University of Technology, Akure.
Dr Odedina also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Agricultural Education from Wolverhampton Polytechnic (now Wolverhampton University) the United Kingdom. While at Wolverhampton Polytechnic, Dr Odedina studied at the Walsall Campus. His exposure to various teaching methods including how to deliver Agricultural skill sessions at Staffordshire College of Agriculture and Harper Adams College, while on teaching practice at Wolverhampton Polytechnic, has greatly enriched his career and also enabled him pass the knowledge and skills to this generation of young farmers.
DAPO OKUBADEJO
Dapo Okubadejo, a very close friends with Prince Dapo Abiodun, is the Ogun State Commissioner for Finance, their friendship dated back to when they were both in the higher institution and he has always played a huge role in his political race. he is Partner & Head of Deal Advisory Services in KPMG in Nigeria and also heads the Deal Advisory African practice. Dapo’s Africa M&A and Transaction Advisory team is responsible for business planning, market expansion and entry advisory, options assessment, feasibility studies, M&A advisory, disposals, business valuation, due diligence as well as deal execution and financing. He is also responsible for thought leadership, liaison with global clients on in-bound investments into Africa & with African conglomerates & multinationals in cross-border deals and reports to KPMG Africa Board. Dapo’s representative clients include PE firms and strategic and financial investors amongst others.

ABIODUN BALOGUN
Hon Abiodun Balogun is a successful businessman, he is the CEO of Action line Investments Limited with diverse interests in Petroleum, Auto services, Real Estate and the financial market. He is the new Commissioner for Environment.
As a Management Consultant, he has designed and operated a wide range of training and revenue-generating programs for many private organizations in Nigeria and government agencies like Nigerian Customs Service, Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), Lagos State Government and many Local Governments. He was also involved in the takeoff of Ogun TRACE. He had earlier worked briefly in Potomac Consulting after graduation and NYSC in 1989.
In 2011, he was elected into the National Assembly, House of Representatives under the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) platform now APC to represent ljebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency where he was the Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Internal Security in Nigeria. He also served on six other committees like Petroleum Upstream, Environment, Federal Character, Special Duties, Public Procurement and Rural Development.

The 2019 House of Representative candidate, Hononorable Afolabi Afuap, a former commissioner during governor Amosun’s administrative is the new Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Afuape popularly known as Afo was Commissioner for Youths and Sports of Ogun State, a position he occupied after stepping down for the current House of Representatives member, Hon. Olusegun Williams who is represented the premier local government, Abeokuta South Federal Constituency of Ogun State. he was one of Amosun’s close aides before they fell apart since he has joined the Dapo Abiodun’s political family.

Tunji Akinosi the new Commissioner for Forestry was a former Commissioner for Agriculture in the state.
OLAOLU OLABIMITAN
Mr Olaolu Olabimitan, a chartered accountant by profession is the new Commissioner for Budget and Planning. He is the founder of Olaolu Olabimtan & Co which was established in 1993 as a full-fledged Accounting firm and has since been providing innovative, efficient, dynamic and value-adding accounting, auditing, financial and management consulting as well as taxation services to individuals and the business community.
AKINGBOLAHAN ADENIRAN
Akingbolahan Adeniran, a partner in Awodi & Co. (Legal Consultants), is the Mew Commissioner for Justice. He previously served as the Senior Special Assistant to the Governor of Lagos State on Legal Matters and a trial lawyer at the International Criminal Court in The Hague, The Netherlands. He holds an LL.B. from the University of Lagos and an LL.M. from Harvard Law School.
