How has life been as a female entrepreneur and what are the challenges?

Being a female entrepreneur is fraught with challenges but it, however, comes with its own advantages. Being a contemporary OAP and business entrepreneur, the challenges are peculiar. On the business front, the business challenges are finances for expansion and execution of projects, and likewise, typical economic weather constraints. In the media world, the challenge is returning to that space where my career started and probably acceptance because resource facilitation could be an issue and acceptance/condemnation from the powerful stakeholders in the media world could limit the extent of one’s exploration. Moreso, I DONT have a Producer so I double has both the Anchor and Producer of my show.

Tell us a bit about your growing up and where you were born?

Kikelomo is from an affluent background and born by socialite parents who valued A-class education. Kikelomo had luxuries in her growing years but however, divorced this luxury and set out in search of personal exploits after her university years,  This has earned me personal achievements and exploits in various firms starting from media houses like AIT, TVC, Silverbird and Nigerian Compass before transiting into governmental agencies including LIRS, Kruss Atlantic, consultancy and training firms including Peculiar People Management , also managing many Accounts at MTN, Napims, Banks and finally starting up my own business establishment. I was born in Lagos state and hails from Lagos Island, specifically from the Olowogbowo Iga Taiwo clan.

Which Schools did you attend and courses done?

I hold a Bachelors degree in Mass Communications from Igbinedion University, Benin and an MBA from the University of South Wales. MSC from Kingston University In Surrey London. I am also CMD certified with a professional qualification from Lagos Business School(LBS) and many more.

How about Motherhood and family life…

Motherhood is a bigger venture than Marriage. However, Marriage leads to Motherhood. Motherhood requires sacrifice, dedication, unwavering resolution, hard work, planning and above all, God’s help. I am a mother of three (3) wonderful children and my first child, Zion Ilemakin is 10. It has been a decade of financial commitment, time—dedication, scaling and rescaling of preferences and self-denial for children. It has also been an overwhelmingly beautiful journey with lots of prospects of fulfilment and joy ahead.

You are very stylish. Tell us how you developed that?

I developed style and fashion-centric life when I was very young and credits to my late grandma Alhaja Habeebat Atanda-owo. She virtually costumed all through my growing years, especially with exotic wears and customized gold jewelries.  My father played an integral role in exposing me to luxury items at young age. This background paved way, especially for my interest and keen outlook for beauty and style.

What are your beauty secrets?

My beauty secrets are not far-fetched. My late mother in law 2years ago (Blessed memory) last bought me local soap from Ijebu-Igbo called OSE DUDU. The soap has been my natural skin moisturizer. On a lighter note, I eat not much but I eat nutritiously well.  I also use channel 5 cream, Bobby brown cleansing oil and other Bobby brown products for my skin and makeup.    But if I want to feel a little extra on special days, I use “Molton Brown Body Lotion and their Liquid soap”.
