LAGOS Commissioner, Pharm AKINBILE-YUSSUF, Celebrates 45th Birthday In Style

The immediate past Commissioner for Wealth Creation and Employment Lagos State, Pharm (Mrs) Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf took Sunday 9th June 2019 to host a 2-in-1 event. It was a day to give the account of her stewardship as a Commissioner and also celebrate her 45th birthday anniversary. The grand event took place at the Multi-Purpose Hall of Musaroq Mall Alimosho, Lagos. The massive event had royalties, top politicians, captains of industries, apex leaders of the all Progressive Party, pharmacists, religious groups, civil servants, Youths from different Local government, in attendance.

The event kicked off at 11am with arrival of participants and guests and shortly after the National Anthem was recited.

Lagos State Ministry of Youth and Social Development & Ministry of Wealth Creation and Employment cannot forget Pharm Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf in a hurry because of the great impact she has made. And they came out en-masse to appreciate her. City People’s Society Reporter, TITILOPE OGUNLEYE and Photo Journalist, JIMMY ABDULRASHEED were there to serve you details of how the event unfolded.

CELEBRATORS GRAND ENTRY

Pharm Uzamat Akinbile Yussuf is beauty personified and she has a great sense of fashion which she put to play at her party.. It was easy to argue that she is 45 already because she looked twice younger than her age. She looked stunning in her black luxury lace. The beautifully designed dress made heads turn. She rocked it with a luxury turban and jewelries. She came with her in company of her husband  Mr Yussuf and her children. Did we tell you that her husband is also a fashion icon? He was dressed in a well-tailored blue Atiku-attire and befitting jewelry. There was also an entourage of a huge number of youth from various tertiary Institutions in and outside of Lagos who were all over her as she made her way into the Hall.

ROYALTIES CAME THROUGH FOR THE CELEBRATOR

On the high table were royal fathers who came from far and wide to celebrate an icon of humility and virtue. HRH Oba Engr M. Adeposi Basorun (Orugbobo of Ijebu Imoni), Oba Sulaimon Suberu Odu Alabe (Alajasa of Ajasa Land), and Oba Samuel Awoyemi Adisa Ojora(Onimeiran of Meran Land) came in person to rejoice with the celebrator. They were the royal fathers of the occasion and they came in their majesty.

NOLLYWOOD ACTRESS FUNKE ETTI SHOWED LOVE

Funke Etti is one of the screen divas in the Yoruba movie industry. She is a combination of beauty, brains and talent. Funke, has acted different roles in different movies which speaks volume  of her acting prowess. She has acted in so many movies that we have lost count. The actress was at the event with a couple of friends. She was very friendly and took pictures with a great number of her fans. 

GUEST SPEAKERS AND PANELIST

It was not just party galore at the event. It included a series of lectures from individuals who are thriving in their diverse fields. These lectures were delivered to encourage youth to excel in their career, and areas of interest. Mr Hakeem M.Okunola, head of service Lagos and Mrs Shareefah Abiola Andu, converner Moremi Initiative was the panelist of the day. Mrs Abiola Champs Salami, Mr Kuti George and Mrs Folayemi Olaitan were the guest speakers. The speakers channeled their discussions towards achieving a better nation with the contribution of youths in diverse sectors. They spoke on the importance of Youth as a change agent towards achieving a greater home, state and nation. They opined that a trained youth is better than a reformed adult. Charity they say begins at home and it will take every youth to take initiative and responsibility toward becoming a better individual and a better Nation. It is important that the youth will use their phones and other gadgets as a tool to gain knowledge and not as a means to fraud and that is when the wrong impression and image of Nigerian Youths can change within the international community.

WORDS OF WISDOM FROM THE CHAIRMAN

Prince Adebisi A Yussuf, member Lagos State House of Assembly was the chairman of the occasion. He gave salutation to dignitaries, royal fathers and guests present. He made a statement that caught the attention of the youth. He said he used to laugh at the not too young to run bill until the youths began to prove that they can give their best in different sectors which he is proud of their success today. He was very instructive with his speech. He flashed back on his life as an activist in a tertiary institution and the positive impact he made. He spoke on mindset, change of attitude as a determinant of their altitude. Whatever you believe in you will need to change your attitude towards it. He spoke about himself as an activist in his university days. He admonished the youths to appreciate where they are and aim for greater heights. He also gave kudos to the celebrator for taking the initiative to make the youth her focus. And urged the youths to think of problems to solve and not create one.

SEYI MICHEAL ON THE LIVE BAND

Seyi Micheal and his band are one of the top-notch live bands rocking Lagos parties and he was on the live band for the party. He came with his full band who were all dressed in white and they added colours to the party. Seyi Michael is indeed a master at his own game. His sonorous voice, composition, stagecraft and creativity would keep any listener glue to his music for hours. He thrilled the audience with both old skool and new songs that guests danced to and didn’t want him to stop.

LUNCHEON OF HER BOOK (DUTY CALLS) AND FOUNDATION

Pharm (Mrs) Uzamat Akinbile-Yussuf is a combination of beauty and brains. She wrote a book titled Duty Calls which was launched at the event. The book has selected speeches from the writer which will inspire the readers. She is also a philanthropist who has the youths in mind and that gave birth to the Mothers Touch Foundation which is in five divisions. The highlight of the luncheon was when another philanthropist Temiloluwa Daniels pledged a sum of one million naira for five years to the foundation. The beneficiaries of the foundation could not hold back their joy as they kept clapping and rejoicing for several minutes.

 CUTTING OF CAKE AND GIFT PRESENTATION

Dignitaries, family members and loved ones joined the celebrator as she cut the beautifully designed four-tier cake. A beautiful portrait was presented to the celebrator by one of the impacted youth who is a skillful artist. The celebrator also seized the opportunity to appreciate everyone who took time out of their busy schedules to honour her and wish them a safe journey back to their various destinations.

THE AFTER PARTY

The youths were done with their lectures and it was time for the adults to really party. The Vip section was moved to the lounge at the mall to be refreshed. It was a no invite, no entry at thelounge because special tags were given for the Vip sections. Shortly after, the celebrator joined the guest at the multi-purpose Hall as they grooved to Seyi Micheals sound.
