On Saturday 13th July, 2019, the town of Ejigbo in Osun State came alive as Modupe Olugbodi-Alade popularly known as Yeye Dupsy, and her siblings buried their later father, Late Pa Jacob Ogunremi Olugbodi in the ancient town of Ejigbo.
Late Pa Jacob Ogunremi Olugbodi slept in the Lord in February, 2019 at the age of 92year. His burial ceremony witnessed the attendance of 7 monarchs, many chiefs and important dignitaries from all walks of life?
Pa Jacob in his life time was a loving, caring, and wonderful father, who did not compromised the core behavioral value. He was a man of honour and policy.
Her daughter, Moduwpe Olugbodi-Alade, Pa. Jacob Olugbodi described her later father as a symbol of decency, good moral and ethical standing that is worthy of emulation.
She said, “Special dad is hard to find. You, dad, I’m keeping in my mind. I wished you could have stayed forever, but I will never forget you; oh not ever. If dreams weren’t dreams and dreams come true, I would have you here; with me. Distance is one thing that keeps us apart, but dad, you will always remain in my heart. A special smile, a special face, a special someone I can’t replace. I love you and I always will. You filled a space that no one else could fulfill”.
Among the monarchs that came to support Yeye Dupsy and her siblings were; Oba Tiamiyu Gbadegesin Ajibade-Onisaara of Inisa Edoro, Oba Ogunniyi Olayiwola-Olosinmo of Osinmo, Oba Adekeye Tajudeen-Alado of Ado Ori-Oke, Oba Azeez Ogungbemiro- Olugbon of Igbon, Oba K.O Adesina – Ologege of Ogege, Oba Timothy Olugbodi-Odooka of Ijimoba and Oba Tajudeen Oyebamiji Oladepo-Ologoro of Oguro.
