On the 4th of May, 2021 the indigenes of Itori Kingdom in Ogun State gathered at the palace of their Olu of Itori, His Royal Majesty Kabiyeesi Abdulfatai Akorede Akamo of Itori to witness the widows empowerment programme anchored by the Yeye Bewaji Okin in person of Chief Ms Tolulope Abike popularly known as Abike Jagaban. The elegant Chief Ms Abike Jagaban was coronated as the Yeye Bewaji Okin of Itori Kingdom in December, 2020. As a Chief, she thought it honourable to give back to her community just 5 months after her coronation.

The day started with the arrival of the high chiefs of Itori Kingdom all adorned in their respective royal beads as they took turns to relish the glamorous coronation of the Yeye Bewaji Okin that took place months back.

As guests continued to come in their numbers, the gifts to be presented for the Widow Empowerment Programme was dropped in the palace compound by the Abike Jagaban Helping Hand Foundation team. Shortly after, the stylish Yeye Bewaji Okin Tolulope Abike Olowogaba drove in with her entourage as Chiefs gathered around her to yet again sing her praises in the famous Egba dialect.

As the event proceeds, The Olu of Itori, Kabiyeesi Abdul-Fatai Akorede steps out of his palace dressed in the stylish Egba adire adorned in royal beads and cap. As he sat on his throne, all guest present bow to pay homage to him.

The Olu of Itori requested for the Egba anthem to be sang to open the days event. After the anthem, Kabiyeesi Abdul-Fatai Akorede takes the floor to present the opening speech. In his speech, he thanked the Yeye Bewaji Okin, Chief Ms Tolulope Abike Olowogaba for her kind gesture to his people and declared that 2 acres of land be given to her to reciprocate her kind gestures. He ended his speech by announcing the new borehole system donated by Chief Ms Abike Jagabn to 2 different areas in his kingdom. He blessed her and urged Yeye Bewaji Okin to speak to her people.

Chief Ms Tolulope Abike Olowogaba on that account paid homage to the Kabiyeesi and danced towards her people singing songs of praise to God. She began to express her heartfelt gratitude to the Kabiyeesi for his fatherly support and the other Chiefs for their endless prayers and love. She revealed in her speech her reason for the empowerment programme informing the guests on her observation when she got to Nigeria. She assured them that the farmers will get to be empowered including other sectors of her dear Itori Kingdom. She urged everyone to in all ways utilise all that will be given at the programme and pleaded with them to always lend out a helping hand every time they can. She ended her speech by inviting everyone present to the commissioning of the borehole system at Adunbu and Okeola in Itori.

At these, everyone was mobilised to Adunbu area in Itori, while in Adunbu Chief Ms Tolulope Abike Olowogaba, acknowledge the Ooni of Ife while singing his praises. The borehole system was launched admist prayers by Kabiyeesi Abdul-Fatai Akorede.

After the commissioning at Adunbu area all convoys headed to Okeola area in Itori Kingdom.

The borehole system was opened for the Central Mosque of Okeola, Itori. Kabiyeesi Abdul-Fatai Akorede and Yeye Bewaji Okin Tolulope Abike Olowogaba was met with sweet Islamic songs by the members of the Mosque. The cleric heading the Mosque takes the floor to pray of the Kabiyeesi for his benevolent gesture towards the on going building project of the Mosque. He goes on to pray for Yeye Abike Jagaban for the water system they had long needed at the Mosque. Yeye Abike Jagaban gladly acknowledged the cleric and donated the sum of 1 million naira to aid the building project of the Mosque. The Kabiyeesi once again prayed and commissioned the borehole system. He ended the programme by promising a car gift to the cleric of the Mosque and a promise to complete his building.

Afterwards, guests headed back to the great palace of Kabiyeesi Abdul-Fatai Akorede Akama of Itori to complete the program. The Kabiyeesi again prayed and asked all 22 beneficiaries of the grinding machines to step forward as he prayed and admonished them.

There were also three beneficiaries of the three chest freezers who the king came out to pray for. The Abike Jagaban helping hand foundation. Yeye Abike Jagaban. Chief Ms Tolulope Abike Olowogaba is truly worthy of her throne as the Yeye Bewaji Okin of Itori Kingdom.
