The race for the top prize Big Brother Naija 85 million is gradually becoming a game of the fittest. The journey of about 20 housemates has now been reduced to 5 housemates, through eviction and disqualification.

Big Brother Naija Lockdown Season 5 also known as Big Brother Naija Lockdown is the fifth season of the Nigerian version of the reality show Big Brother. In the previous season of Big Brother Naija, housemates nominated two of their fellow housemates for eviction and the public then voted for who they wanted to evict. In this season, the nomination and eviction format was essentially reversed. Each week all housemates, except Head of House and Deputy Head of House, will face the public vote. The public will be voting for their favourite housemate. The voting closes on each Thursday. The four housemates who received the fewest votes will be nominated for eviction.

During the live eviction shows every Sunday, the nominated housemates at risk will face a Diary Eviction Votes Session to determine who will be evicted. Each housemate will vote on one or two of the bottom four housemates they wanted to leave in the Diary Room. The housemate who received the most nomination votes is evicted. During the sixth live eviction show on Day 42, the host Ebuka announced that the voting system would be switching back to the old one with housemates nominating and the public vote to evict. Since that period, housemates have been nominating themselves for possible eviction. Last week, 4 strong housemates were put up for eviction and that includes Laycon, Dorathy, Ozo, and Trikytee.

This week we shall be doing an analysis on the 5 housemates who will likely emerge winner BBN Season 5.  The first housemate on the list is Nengi. She is the head of house for week 9. She won the Head of House game beating others to their games. Her real name is Rebecca Nengi Hampson. She is one of the housemates simply known in the house by her middle name, ‘Nengi’. She is a young Nigerian lady from Bayelsa State. Nengi is an entrepreneur. She has been on the spotlight before now as she is a former model and had made it to the MDGN 2017 top five contestants.

Nengi studied Communications at the University of Port Harcourt and often touted herself to be a Capricorn. She was quoted to have said, “If you want the job done right, give it to a Capricorn. I give 110% of my energy and enthusiasm into everything I do. For winning the HOH for week 9 that has automatically qualified her into the finale which will take place this Sunday. The other housemates who will join her include VEE and Neo, who weren’t nominated at all for eviction. The other 2 housemates that will join them in the final will come between Dorathy, Laycon, Ozo, and Trikytee.

Another housemate aside from Nengi that can win the Ultimate Prize is Laycon. Presently, talking about one housemate who is well supported among viewers it’s Laycon. He is also the toast of many celebrities. More than 40 big stars have been campaigning vigorously for this upcoming artiste. Laycon is well-loved that people in the diaspora send money for people to vote him. He has also trended to the north as many northerners now root for him to emerge winner of the reality show. In the last few weeks he’s been put up for eviction, Laycon has not only scaled through but has a tremendous vote which many called “social distance vote”. Laycon was born and raised in Lagos State. Laycon attended the University of Lagos from 2012 to 2016 and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. Laycon did not misuse his impressive second-class upper BA degree in Philosophy. While doing music on the side, Laycon worked for several companies and establishments.

As an undergraduate, Laycon interned at Latjum Global Nigeria Limited, an oil and gas marketing company in Lagos, as a personal assistant to the CEO and managing director of the company. Immediately after graduation, Laycon picked up a role at Bestman Games, Ikoyi, as a sales and business development personnel. Bestman Games is a leading African games company based in Lagos, Nigeria.

Leaving Bestman Games after just two months of working there, Laycon landed a job at the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy as a personal assistant to the Assistant Director (Welfare) of Administration and Human Resources of the ministry. Laycon also worked as a freelance writer for several companies and organizations.

Music has always been Laycon’s passion. BBN Laycon started rapping at an early age and has never stopped. Even while schooling and working, Laycon still did music on the side. Laycon’s song “Fierce” which featured Chinko Ekun and Reminisce was on MTV Base Top 10 charts for six months. BBNaija Laycon admitted he is a sex enthusiast. A sex enthusiast is a person with a strong interest in sex-related conversations, even though they might not be particularly interested in sexual activity. The third housemates who can really fight for the money is Dorathy. She is one of the most loved housemates in this year’s reality show.

BBNaija’s Dorathy was born in Lagos State. She attended the Joseph Ayo Babalola University, Ikeji-Arakeji in Osun State between 2012 and 2016 where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in accountancy. Neo: Another housemate likely to win the Season 5 Big Brother Naija Show is Emuobonvie Akpofure popularly know as “NEO” Neo is a native of Delta State. He was an app developer and an Uber driver before coming into the Big Brother House. BBN New was raised in a polygamous home of over 20 children. Neo has automatically made it to the final stage due to the nomination for last week by the housemates. His name was one of the least mentioned for eviction which has qualified him to be at the grand finale. So many people still grumble about the stance at the finale because considering his fan base, he doesn’t have the fan base to have made it there but all thanks to the nomination process which has favoured him so far.

Vee: Victoria Adeyele is a 23-year-old musician based in Lagos-Nigeria. She was born and raised in London and moved to Lagos almost a year ago to begin her music career where she has already made great strides. Fortunately, for her she made it into the Big Brother House and with luck on her side has made it to the final which is actually a thing of awe to all watching the Big Brother Reality Show, as her fan base is not so strong. –
