How Oba ONIRU Celebrated His 80th Birthday Gist Of The 3 Day Event

Last week Wednesday, 6th of September, 2017 was full of activities as one of Nigeria’s first class monarchs, great philanthropist and foremost businessman, Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru, the Oniru of Iru Land celebrated his 80th birthday in style.The highly respected Oba strolled into the octogenarian club in style hale and hearty. The milestone birthday started with some traditional and Muslim prayers same birthday week and on Wednesday, it was brought to a grand finale. The birthday classy reception which was graced by prominent individuals from all walks of life took place at the Oniru palace, Oniru Estate, Lagos. OBA IDOWU ONIRU DANCES SO WELL AT 80

The celebrant of the day, HRM Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru, could not have been more happier and joyful on his day as God spared his life till 80. Not only is he celebrating the milestone but the fact that he is hale and hearty.  Oba Oniru had fun all through the day. He danced for several hours and never showed any sign of tiredness.Even in his biography, it was clearly stated that he is a lover of dance, “He was very popular in his youth and was well known for his love of dance”.

BETWEEN OBA ONIRU AND OBA ADETUNJI AKINLOYE

It is on rare occasion that you find this 2 highly revered Obas together at a party. But when both of them stepped out at the same party then it further tells you about  the personality that has invited them.oba Oniru and Oba Adetunji Akinloye, the Ojomu of Ajiran land was at the party and he stayed for many hours. Let’s quickly hint you that both Obas are best of friends. They share same birthday and many other things in common. Oba Akinloye talked glowingly about his friend whom he calls big brother ,his philanthropic gestures and also rained some prayers on him and his family.

MEET KABIYESI’S 5 OLORIS

The Oniru of Iru Land, Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru sure knows what is good for him due to his status and enormous wealth, no wonder he married 5 wives, not only are they 5, but they are beautiful in all ramifications, well endowed with a beautiful skin. They pretty Oloris are all part of the Iru Dynasty with their different titles. The first Olori is Olori Aramide Oniru, the Iyaafin of Iruland, Olori Risikat Abisoye is the Yeye Apesin of Iru land,Olori Arike Oniru is the Yeye Wuraola of Iru land,Olori Ajua Oniru and Olori Funke Oniru who is the yeyemeso of Iru land. All of them bore successful kids for the Kabiyesi and the unity between the 5 Oloris is second to none that you cannot differentiate which children are for whom. The relationship they instilled in  their children towards one another is very admirable. You really will not see them at many parties, but they attend only A-list shindigs due to their status as monarch’s wives.

They are very social and their husband who also loves to dance complements them in this part as they sometimes go to events together. They all glowed at the party and looked very stylish in their all sequenced black and golden yellow expensive fabrics and choice jelweries to go with it. They wore the same outfit for the party.

HIS CHILDREN’S ROLE

All of Oba Oniru’s children from Segun, Tijani, Demola to Ayisat, Ariyike and others all came together to celebrate with their father on his day. It was a joyful moment and more like a family reunion for the Oniru’s as all gathered and put up a beautiful and classy celebration for their father.One laudable thing about their role is the coordinating power that exists  between the children as they made sure there were no lapses.They all welcomed and entertained all guests.

OVER 20 OBAS, TITLED CHIEFS AND IYALODES HONOURED OBA ONIRU

As expected ,there were many monarchs, titled Chiefs and some Iyalodes who gathered to honour the celebrant. Some of them were Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu,Ojomu of Ajiranland, Oba Adetunji Akinloye,Elegushi of Ikate Land, Oba Saheed Elegushi, Oba Patrick Fafunwa, Onikoyi and Imoba Land,Oba Mohammed Yusuf, Tomaro and Abagboland, Chief Biliaminu Abisogun, Chief Abayomi Daramola, Chief Animashaun Isese, Gbobagunwa of Iruland, Yusuf Busari, Bobagunwa of Iruland, Chief and Mrs Fatai Adio Animashaun, Mayegun and Yeye Mayegun of Iruland, Chief and Chief (Mrs) Basorun, Baba Ilabare and Aje Oba of Iperuland, Chief Musiliu Atanda Olowu, Baale of Ipehun Community, Chief Jamiu Adelakun, Baale of Alakoto Community, Chief Ganiu Kareem, Baale of Osho ilu. HRM Oba Gausu Alani  Rasaki,the Ovori of ibeshe kingdom,Oba Babatunde nosiru, Oba Momodu Afolabi Asafa, MFR, the onijanikin of Ijanikin kingdom, Iyalode Alaba Lawson and many others.

OONI OF IFE HONOURED THE CELEBRANT  AND HIS SON, AREMO SEGUN

Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi also honoured Oba Oniru at his birthday,he was there physically with his entourage of his white cap Chiefs.Ooni made a grand entry when he arrived at the venue, he was ushered in by the celebrants so, Aremo Segun Oniru. They have been close for a very long time, no wonder, they were seen in a tete a tete mood all the time. At the event was Ooni’s elder brother, Sooko Ekun,Prince Bimbo Ogunwusi who came alongside ooni’s elder sister and her husband.

ABOUT THE BEAUTIFUL ANKARA ASO EBI

Looking all through the corners of the hall, the beauty of the Ankara aso ebi that was picked for the occasion lighted up the whole hall. It made everybody  looked good in the uniform and almost all the guests matched up their aso ebi with sparkling white gele. Many also sowned  their outfits into lovely styles and made many of them look like  damsels.

AREMO SEGUN ONIRU’S BIG BROTHER ROLE

Aremo Segun Oniru’s disposition at the party will surely tell you he has a huge leadership qualities. He was up and doing from the beginning of the party till the end making sure all his younger sibling, families, friends and well wishers were well taken care of. He practically took on the responsibility of welcoming his father’s important personalities who graced the event. Not only that, he was seen moving from one table to the other to ascertain every guest’s satisfaction.

WHAT IS THE BOND BETWEEN SEGUN ONIRU, OBA ELEGUSHI AND AKINSIKU OF LAGOS?

Have you ever been to any A.list social party and you will not see the 3 together?they always make any party bubble.  They usually sit together at parties and their table is always full of life with sumptuous meals and exotic premium drinks.Their closeness has been on for several years despite Aremo being older than the others, they accord him his respect and he also plays a brotherly role to them. Aremo Segun Oniru is the first son of Oba Idowu Oniru. Oba Saheed Elegushi is the reigning Elegushi of Ikate land while Oba Olalekan Dosunmu is the Akinsiku of Lagos.

BIMBO OLADIRAN OF SUBTLE ELEGANCE COORDINATED THE EVENT

The party was well put together by bimbo Oladiran, CEO of Subtle elegance event. She did her job very well and it was hitch free all through. Global event ushers were also on point.Bimbo has been in event business for 10 years, she was a PA/coordinator to Ibidun Ighodalo,the boss of Elizabeth R for 2 years.She attended federal government girls college, shagamu and graduated with a bachelor of science from university of Lagos.

WHEN THE 2 BALOGUNS DINED TOGETHER

At the party were society women in large numbers. They all glowed in their styled aso ebi. On same table were 2 society women who bares the same surname, Balogun Queen of juju music, Ayo Balogun and style matriach, Sade Balogun. The baloguns wined and dined on same table and enjoyed cool music from King Wasiu Ayinde.

HOW OBA AKIOLU’S WHITE CAP CHIEFS STOOD OUT

At the party were over 10 white caps who came alongside Oba Rilwan Akiolu. What made the white cap Chiefs stand out at the party were the choice of uniform they wore. They went off the Normal regular all white outfit. They wore a mixture of white and sky blue outfit and complemented it with their usual white cap and bead.

3 SOCIETY WOMEN PARTIED TOGETHER

The trio of Alhaja Umar Saro, Rashidat Okoya and Alhaja Fatima Adegunwa partied together. They all wore the Ankara aso ebi with statement jelweries. They were seen sitting at the VIP table.

MOSUN MASHA’S MUM SPOTTED

Mosun Mashable is the mother of Titi Masha,the pretty wife of King Wasiu Ayinde. She is also a big time fabric merchant and was part of the celebrity women who dazzled at the party.

KING WASIU AYINDE THRILLED GUESTS

It was as if guests were all waiting for King Wasiu Ayinde to mount the stage,immediately they spotted him,they knew it will be dance and fun unlimited.Wasiu mounted the stage at about 3.30pm and got everyone on their feet especially the Obas.

SIR SHINA PETERS AND DELE TAIWO SPOTTED

At the party were foremost juju musicians, Sir Shina peters and dele Taiwo who honoured Tijani Oniru on his father’s birthday.They stayed for several hours and also had fun all through.

EX LAGOS DEP GOV SARAH SOSAN CAME WITH HER FRIEND

The former deputy governor of Lagos State, Sarah Sosan was at the party, she was sitting at Aremo Segun Oniru’s VIP table. She was at the event to honour Oba Oniru and also Segun Oniru whom they have both worked together as  Lagos civil servants.

KOFO ADEBUTU STEPS OUT WITH HUSBAND

The just installed Otun Yeye Oge of Lagos, Chief Mrs Kofo Adebutu was at the party with her husband,she was looking very beautiful with the totality of her outlook. Immediately she got into the venue, she made way to where Aremo Oniru and Oba Elegushi was seating to greet them.She came in with her older friend as well, Lagos celeb woman, Joko Adeusi.

THE 4 ELETU ODIBO THRILLED GUESTS

There are 3 most influential and richest brothers in Lagos today whose presence at any party always generates a talking point. They are Kazeem Eletu Odibo, Prince Ademola, Alhaji Mudashiru and their Uncle, Alhaji Waheed Tajudeen. They all shone at the party. They arrived with their convoy, while the elder brother brought his two wives, Omowunmi Ashabi and Olabisi Ashabi. They were all in Ankara  aso-ebi.

OBA ONIRU’S 2 ALLIES OF OVER 40 YEARS

These two important personalities are one of the very good allies of the celebrant. Foremost business men, Chief Akin Disu and Chief Simeon Adekunle AKINLONU are very special to the celebrants and therefor belong to same courts.These 2 were at his birthday and were part of the family that wrote glowing tribute about Oba Oniru. Chief Akinlonu described Oba Oniru as his mentor, a rare gem and gentle man in every respect. He said “ providence orchestrated our meeting some 46 years ago .i can look back today and be grateful to God that out path crossed because of the role you have played in my life, I make bold to say that when my story is written, it will be I complete without devoting several chapters to you. Also Chief Akin Disu is one of Oba Oniru’s traditional chiefs, he holds the title borokini of Iru land.he said”Kabiyesi is my baba and King, I owe the position I attained today to him. I have known him since the 50s in Lagos and I am considerably close to the Oniru royal family.i am honoured to be in his court and he regards me as a very high chief in Iru Land. I pray to God to always bless him.

AREMO ONIRU’S CLIQUE OF BIG BOYS DAZZLE ALL

These set of guys were highly noticeable at the party. Their corner bubbled all through and they occupied up to 10 tables sitting many big boys who are friends and allies of Aremo Segun Oniru. Some of the big boys run mega businesses and have deep pockets. They also turned out in their aso-ebi ankara which was what Aremo also wore all through. Need we tell you that champagne flowed like water? It was in excess supply. They had fun and sprayed heavy crisp of naira on their friend, King Wasiu Ayinde who was on the band stand. They took over the stage for several  hours and had unlimited fun. Sighted were Oba Saheed Elegushi, Oba Olalekan Dosunmu, the Akinsiku of Lagos, Gbenga Ani, Chief fola Alabi, Bobby Aro,  Bolaji Esho, Muyideen Afarioro,  Adesegun Oroja, Barr Bamidele Ayileka, Bola Arijegbe, Peter Akintola, Sir Shina Peters and
