Lagos stood still on Saturday, 17th April, 2021 as de-creme-de-creme gathered at the Haven Event Centre, behind Archbishop Vining Cathedral, Off Oba Akinjobi Road, Ikeja, GRA, Lagos, when a great businessman and philanthropist, Otunba Demola Popoola hosted his wife Olubukola to a classy 50th birthday.
The birthday party will remain on the lips of many socialites for a long time, as the classy party had many prominent, society men and women of substance in attendance. It was the mother of all parties. It was celebrity studded. It had in attendance Ooni of Ife, HRM Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Deputy Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat, the Chief of Staff to Lagos Governor, Commissioners, heads of parastatals, S.A’s Pastor Kalejaiye of RCCG officiated. And what about the royal fathers? It was a long list of royal fathers. Over 50 monarchs from all over the South West, especially from Ekiti State were present to show love and support to the great Popoola family.
The event hall looked so beautiful and glamorous. It was a blue and white colored affair, and it was filled with many celebrity babes who dazzled in lovely outfits. They all looked so stunning in their unique style and lovely jewelry.
You need no one to tell you that Otunba Demola Popoola is 100% a family man, who loves his family, especially his wife to the core. No wonder he spared no cost to make sure the event came out successfully. He is well known as a very successful businessman and also as a very rich and influential man in the society, whose name opens doors because of his high influence in the corridors of power. He has his hands in different chains of businesses. Otunba Demola Popoola needs no introduction in society because he is known for many philanthropic gestures. He’s a very simple man to the core, whose doors are always widely open for anyone, despite his status. He’s a man who wines and dines with the youths as though he’s one of them. He’s not the kind of man that snubs. Otunba will relate with you as if he has known you for all his life. Whenever you are with him, you will always enjoy his company. Very open minded and articulate man of the people. His kind heartedness as a person was greatly rewarded, as many dignitaries stood solidly behind him throughout the event. Everything you can ever think of was declared surplus; different kinds of foods, assorted drinks and wines, and what about gift items? it was a trailer load. All the vendors were on point and they were ready to serve once you beckon on them. The security was top notch, and Covid-19 rules was adequately observed.
What about the celebrant? The beautiful and stylish Mrs. Olubukola Popoola was the cynosure of all eyes at her 50th birthday party. Saying she is only a pleasant woman is an understatement, she’s beautiful in and out. She actually played host to all the guests from A-Z, moving from one table to another, just to make sure that everyone was comfortable. This epitome of beauty glowed and shown like a shining star. You won’t even believe she’s the one celebrating her 50th year. Bukola has the look of a 35 year old damsel. She changed into two amazing and expensive outfitsfor the party.
Let’s not forget to tell you that Mrs Bukola Popoola’s birthday cake was one of the side attractions of the party. It was a beautiful one made for a royal princess that she is, as also confirmed by Ooni of Ife in his remarks.
The decoration of the hall was mind blowing. The cross section of the monarchs was superb. Faith Band, one of the wave making high-life band, ably led by Ayo Ajekigbe was on the bandstand, while the Dj also dished out selected tunes at intervals.

Mrs Olubukola Popoola is a mother of three wonderful children, Oluwademilade, Omosalewa and Ayomiposi. She is the wife of Otunba Demola Popoola, the Chairman of Emmanpop Ventures Limited, spray pack group of company. She is a business woman, the CEO of Channels Gas Plant. She’s a dedicated Christian, a daughter of Zion. She balances 3 tasks by the grace of God and help of her husband, who is also a successful and prominent businessman. She was born into the family of late Chief and Mrs Marcus Olayiwola Famoriyo in the year 1971 in Ile Ife, the 5th child and the 3rd daughter in the family. Mrs Bukola Popoola graduated from Obafemi Awolowo University in the year 1997, where she met her hubby. She got married to her heartthrob, her best friend, her pillar in the year 1998. In due time, God blessed them with 3 awesome children and as the years goes by, God kept on blessing her and her family. She is indeed so grateful for her life thus far for His glory upon her life as a wife and mother.
