•Blow-By-Blow Account Of The 25th Anniversary Of Their Church, ROSAC
The Rock of Salvation Apostolic Church (ROSAC), where Pastor Israel and Prophetess Mary Olubori preside, became the talk of town on Sunday, October 31, 2021 when the church marked its 25th anniversary in grand style.
The event, which took place at the Classique Events Centre on 7a, Kudirat Abiola Way, Oregun-Ikeja, Lagos had all the top dignitaries in attendance, starting from Royal Fathers to top politicians, movie stars and entertainers, the list was endless. You will not be wrong if you also call it a music concert because many popular musicians attended and some of them had the opportunity to perform.

THE OLUBORIS’ GRAND ENTRY
You do not see Pastor and Prophetess Mary Olubori dancing together on many occasions. But this event afforded many that opportunity. The grand entry of these Vessels of God saw Prophetess Mary Olubori giving her all to God, including her dance steps. They were joined by some key members of the church, friends, family, loved ones and dignitaries. Dancing down the hall, Prophetess Mary Olubori, alongside her husband were grateful to God for this great feat. According to them, they had never imagined that their ministry would have this kind of quantum leap but God was very faithful, the need to be grateful.
ONE EVENT, THREE ANCHORS
To say that the event was star-studded would downplay the class of people that made the event. It was filled with top celebrities. Could you ever imagine that thanksgiving service would have three top anchors, all combining efforts to make sure that the guests have the best of time? Yes, it happened and only Pastor Israel and Prophetess Mary Olubari could have done that.
Popular actor, Adeniyi Johnson, Asiri Comedy and Baba Alariya all compered at the event. They gave their best shots and impressed all to the glory of God who gave them the talents. They also complimented one another so well that many people were thinking that they had rehearsed before coming upstage. Meanwhile, City People found out that they didn’t know they were going to be playing such roles with each other until they got to the venue of the event.
ROYALTIES SHOWED MUCH LOVE
No one could ever miss the entry of the Oba Elegushi of Lagos, Oba Saheed Elegushi and his beautiful wife, Olori Sekinat Elegushi. They were also accompanied by some of the Kabiyesi’s high chiefs.
Everyone knows that Oba Saheed is a fashionista, his fashion style at the event spoke volumes about royalty, his affluence and most importantly the Yoruba culture. He was dressed in all-white royal attire. Oba Saheed Ademola Elegushi is a first-class King (Oba) in Lagos State, born to the family of late (Oba) Yekinni Adeniyi Elegushi, of the Elegushi Royal Family of Ikateland, Lagos State.
OBA TIMI AGBALE OF EDE CAME WITH HIS 2 WIVES
The Timi Agbale of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Adesola Lawal who also doubled as the foster father of Prophetess Mary Olubori, was also present at the event with his two wives. The paramount ruler of Ede, Osun State, has been described as an enigma and an impactful ruler who toils day and night for the progress of his community. He was proud to be associated with the Prophetess and her husband. In his speech, Oba Lawal appreciated Pastor Israel Olubori for staying by his wife and not listening to hearsays from rumour mongers. He prayed that the couple would enjoy more bliss in their lives and ministry.
The Elekuro of Ekuroland, HRM Oba Babalola Olalekan was also present at the event. He was seated in the special space provided for the Royal Fathers. He came in the company of the Timi Agbale of Ede, Oba Munirudeen Lawal.
TOP NOLLYWOOD STARS CAME THROUGH
If not for the gigantic banner at the entrance of the auditorium and on the podium, many would have thought that they were present at a movie premiere. Top Nollywood stars practically turned the event into a movie location. They came in their numbers to show love for the ROSAC ministry. An actor revealed to City People that the church has been a spiritual powerhouse for many of these stars. They go to the mountain to pray very often and they return with multiple testimonies. Lola Idije, Fali Werepe, Biodun Okeowo (Omo Butty), Niyi Johnson etc. were among those that were spotted at the event.
MEGA 99 DROPS HIT AFTER HIT
Abel Oluwafemi Dosunmu, known as Mega 99, is a Nigerian gospel juju musician and songwriter. He came to the limelight with his hit track, Money. Mega 99 has since become a force to reckon with in the gospel Juju music industry. He was one of the artistes that performed at the ROSAC 25th anniversary. He was on the stage for more than three hours doing his thing. At some point, he had top dignitaries at the event coming to the dance floor. Of course, he enjoyed some of the cash flow as well.
TOP MEDIA PERSONALITIES TOO
The event also had top media players in attendance. Mogaji Kola Olotu, a top broadcaster, whose voice started from Ibadan and become a force in the radio broadcast industry, was one of the early comers at the event. He was later joined by the Publisher of City People Magazine, Dr Seye Kehinde, whose team had been on ground long before the event started. Esho Promotions boss, Adekunle Ademeso was also present at the event.
IYALOJA GENERAL, CHIEF MRS AFOLOSADE TINUBU-OJO SPEAKS
The Iyaloja General of Nigeria, Mrs Afolasade Tinubu-Ojo was one of the dignitaries that graced the occasion. During her speech, she revealed that she and prophetess Mary Olubori had been friends for more than three decades. She further encouraged women at the event not to give up on their dreams and that with faith, hard work and relentlessness, the sky would be their starting point. While Prophetess Olubori was reacting, she explained that her first designer bags and shoes were gifted her by the Iyaloja General way back in the early 1990s.
LET YOUR WIFE COOK VEGETABLES FOR YOU – PASTOR OLUBORI
Pastor Israel Olubori has revealed that it is important for men to stay put with their wives so that they can enjoy their marriage. He revealed that he has heard several rumours claiming that his wife has “cooked vegetables” for him which literally means that he is under the spell of some love potion but he is unconcerned because it is his own duty to build his home and protect it against third-party influences.
Pastor Olubori further encouraged men at the event not to allow anyone scatter their marriage. “I know my wife, I know what I saw in her and I cannot allow any stranger to come and tell me about her because I already knew her before you. You were not there when we started, when we were struggling and now that things are getting better, you shouldn’t be the one to cause problems amidst us”.
BABA ALARIYA ENTERTAINS THE ROYAL FATHERS
Fast-rising comedian, Baba Alariya was called up stage several times to drop some of his jokes and he did so well. He became popular for talking with the voice of an old man. Baba Alariya dropped some funny jokes for the Elegushi and Timi Agbale of Ede while other guests also enjoyed the flow. There was no doubting the fact that everyone enjoyed his performances.
OLORI NAOMI REPRESENTS OONI OF IFE
Olori Silekunola Naomi, the wife of the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, was also at the event. She came to represent her husband. She came in the company of her entourage and security details and delivered the goodwill message from the throne. Olori Naomi, being a prophetess herself, prayed for ROSAC and the entire members and declared more numerical growth for the commission.
BOYE BEST HITS THE STAGE
Another popular Juju gospel singer, Boye Best mounted the stage and he delivered excellently well. Boye Best has been a regular face at events and parties. He took over from Mega 99 and took the audience to another level entirely. Top celebrities at the event hit the dance floor alongside the celebrants and guess what? It was another naira rain entirely.
ELEGUSHI LEADS CUTTING OF CAKE
The cutting of the anniversary cake was a special one. It was led by the HRM Oba Saheed Elegushi who spelt love before the cake was cut. All the top celebrities at the event joined the celebrants for this special session.
