Rotary Club of Festac (District 9110) held the installation of Rotarian. Chuks Ozigbo as the 8th President of Rotary Club Festac Central 2019/20. It also included the induction of the Board of Directors on Saturday, 31st of August, 2019, @ Golden Tulip Hotel Festac, Lagos. It was a gathering of who is who in the upper level of life that saw Mr Valentine Ozigbo, President/CEO, Transcorp Group plc as Chairman of the day. The Chief Host was Rtn. Jide Akeredeolu, District Governor, Rotary International, District 9110.
The outgoing President, Rotimi Michael Fati, did the call to Order, followed by Rotary Grace, The 4-way Tests, Object of Rotary, Songs. Also Recognition of guests and welcome address by the Presidential Installation Committee’s Chairman- Rotn.Ben Sawyerr. Valedictory speech by the outgoing President, Rotimi Michael Fati, was followed with handover to the incoming President, Chuks Ozigbo, and Investiture of the President and his Inaugural Speech. More activities included Presentation of Awards, Launching of club projects/donations, Induction of Directors, vote of thanks, Loyal Toast, National Anthem.

PROFILE OF ROTARIAN CHUKS OZIGBO
Chuks Celestine Ozigbo was born to the Late Mr.Martin Ozigbo and Mrs Cecilia Ozigbo. He hails from Amesi town in Aguata LGA of Anambra State, Nigeria. He started his early education at Onitsha after which he proceeded to Christ the Redeemer College Amesi, where he had his Secondary education. After his SSCE in 1990, he took a break from school (gap years)to get involved in family businesses both in Lagos and Anambra State.
He got admission to the University of Nigeria Nsukka, where he studied Banking &Finance and graduated with Second Class Hons(Upper Division) in 1999. He was a very active student and was elected the director for student welfare and President of the Aguata students Association. He later proceeded to the University of Lagos for his Masters’ in Business Administration (MBA).
At the career front, Chuks joined Fidelity Bank in the year 2000 where he worked in different branches as a Business Relationship Officer. In 2002, he left Fidelity to join First Atlantic Bank Plc and by 2005, following his top performance, he was elevated to Branch Manager. As a result of the Nigerian Banking sector consolidation, First Atlantic became Finbank Plc and by 2008, following the resignation of his then regional Manager, Chuks was made an Acting Regional Manager, while still managing his branch.
In 2009, he resigned from Finbank to join UBA Plc as a branch manager and later was redeployed to become a Group Head, Multinational and Corporate Banking Group.

In 2013, he resigned from UBA Plc and founded his own telecoms/IT business, Lyca Digitals Limited.
In the course of his career, he attended various training and courses both at home and overseas including:
A certificate programme on Entrepreneurship in Emerging Economies, from Harvard Business School, USA. He also went to other IT training for programming on Java. Chuks is currently the founder/CEO of Lyca Digitals Ltd, a growing telecoms/IT business.
He is a director and board member of VFD Group Plc, a fast-rising conglomerate with interests in banking, financial services, capital markets, real estate, etc.
He is the President of Amesi Improvement Union (AIU) Lagos a community development association.
A devout Catholic who has been in service of the church in various capacities including repeatedly serving as Chairman of Harvest Planning Committee for a number of years in different parishes and, members of the Parish Pastoral Council.
Currently, he is a serving member of the Finance Council in his Local Catholic parish, Current the chair of building Committee responsible for building a new Catholic church in his parish.
He first got involved with Rotary 25 years ago in the University when his roommate Obiora Anyikwa convinced him to join the Rotaract Club of Unec and he later became a director of a Community service, while Anyikwa, his friend, served as the Rotaract Club President. I recall attending a couple of meetings of Rotary Club of New Heaven Enugu. Exciting as it was, his Rotaract journey ended after his University days. Subsequently, between 2011 and 2013, he attended a number of meetings of Rotary Club of Ikeja still unsure of whether to join Rotary, until Rtn. Tonia Aguguesi invited him to join a group of professionals to charter Rotary Club of Festac Central. He has served the club in various capacities including being a charter member of the club. Bulletin Editor, Publicity Committee Chairman, Service Projects Chairman, President Nominee and President-Elect/Vice President. He is married to Nkem, his sweetheart and they are blessed with Kamso and Olamma.
