The Victorious Army Ministries International, Lagos, under the leadership of the Shepherd of the sanctuary, Rev. (Dr.) Joseph Dominic Agboli and his beautiful wife Pastor Mrs Blessing Dominic Agboli, last week hosted the Jesus Women Of Influence Conference 2018.
The theme for this year’s conference is “God’s vision for the woman”. The 3-day life-changing event which sought to strengthen and add value to women was held on 8th to 10th March 2018, 5 pm at the church auditorium.
The annual life-changing conference is organized to equip women to be very influential and productive in the body of Christ and in their various fields of endeavor. Since its inception, under the able leadership of Mama Blessing Joseph Agboli, many women have been empowered.
The Jesus Women of Influence International conference has been graced by several notable personalities; this year is no exception as distinguished faith and government leaders and notable entrepreneurs would be in attendance. This year’s edition will be graced with lots of guest ministers and speakers like Pastor Paula White-Cain, Pastor Funke Adetuberu, Pastor Patricia Bailey Jones, Prophetess Juanita Bynum, Apostle Joseph Dominic Agboli, Mama Blessing Joseph Dominic Agboli, Betty Irabor and Nkechi Ngonadi. In attendance to minister in songs this year will be Sinach and Tope Alabi, Chinyere Udoma and Efe Nathan.
The first day of the event started on a promising note as 2 powerful speakers shared their amazing stories with fellow women. The evening kicked off with an opening prayer session with Pastor Victor JohnWhite, and then the praise team took over with their vibrant praise and worship session. It was a wonderful time in the presence of the Lord and people obviously danced away their worries. The founder of the church, Apostle Joseph Dominic Agboli gave a few words from the scriptures. To declare the 2018 Jesus Women of Influence opened, he urged women to strive to do better for themselves, with some words of encouragement and said “as a woman you are not limited to the kitchen”.
He further welcomed his wife, the convener of the conference, the dynamic and amiable woman of God; Pastor Mrs. Blessing Agboli to the podium. Speaking to the women she said “if you want to define vision, it is an imagined idea. A goal towards which one aspires. There is a reason why God created women. Once you understand the need of God before you were created, the vision of God is to complete the man and not to compete with the man. The job that God has for the woman is to be able to nurture the man, make him complete, put him together, package him and make that man to become a wonderful man or a successful man. The gift and vision of God to a man is to give him a gift and that gift is a woman. The woman is an incubator, the woman is a producer, the woman is a polisher, and the woman is an encouragement to the man. The woman is a gift of light. A woman is a light that shows what is in the man that was given. The woman is that energizer that a man needs to stand strong and stay alive. A woman is a gift to the man. God created everything. He did not rest, he did not hand it over until the woman came in. A woman is a fighter, she does not give up. I am a fighter I don’t take no for an answer, I see to the end and I am ready to pay any price to obtain something I know is from God. A woman is not just this polished face, nice dress and shoes, good perfumes, sit down and cross your legs. No! That’s not the woman that I am talking about. I am talking about a woman that will wake up not just her dream, but the dream of her man. I don’t know who you are but among the speakers that will be ministering during this conference, your Elizabeth will be among them. One thing I don’t want you to do is to dress up, come here, sit down, just listen as usual, go home and no change. Amongst these speakers are categories of women who will help you give birth to that vision that was given to you. There are things that God has instilled into you as a woman. It must not die. God did not send you to contend with the man, just operate as yourself. Understand your pace, know your vision, know his purpose for creating you. Know you are on an assignment even in the life of your children and your husband. Like I said earlier, you are the incubator. Everything given to a woman multiplies. Everything put into a woman multiplies. You are a blessing to your generation. When you wake up in the morning and you hear those children call you mummy, that’s a generation coming out through you. You are sent to multiply. I don’t care how successful a man is without a woman in his life, he is only surviving, he is not living. I want you to celebrate who you are always, don’t let anyone tell you less. We as women, we need common sense. Doing what is right at the right time“
The publisher and founder of Genevieve magazine, Betty Irabor was also present looking young as ever, to share her inspiring story on how she pulled out strong from her little beginnings. She spoke on how she started Genevieve magazine at age 46, that that was an age most women begin to wind down. She also said when women go through midlife crises all they just want to do is be a mother to their children and maybe take life as it comes to them. “I was that kind of person; I had no ambition, no vision. I was raised by a single mother”.
Gorgeous and popular gospel artist, Chinyere Udoma who looked dazzling in her sequence attire mounted the stage with her backup singers to lift souls with their sonorous voices. This session was spirit filled. Mama, as she is fondly called, gave a grand introduction of the speaker of the day. A mentor, mother of zion Dr. Funke Adetuberu. In the life changing and eye-opening talk, she encouraged women to accept failure but rise up after each downfall.
