SPEECH DELIVERED BY PROPHET (DR.) S.K. ABIARA, PROPHET & EVANGELIST W/W DURING THE SPECIAL THANKSGIVING SERVICE AT CAC AGBALA- ITURA, INTERNATIONAL HQTRS, CITY OF PEACE, OLODE, NEW IFE ROAD, IBADAN, SUNDAY 25, 2018 @ 10 AM.
Royal fathers,
Distinguished guests of honor,
Ladies & Gentlemen,
Pressmen & women,
I am delighted to welcome you to the presence of the Almighty God, the ancient of days, immortal and invisible God, who alone does wondrous things.
The Bible says,
Psalm 95:1-7
“Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.
2 Let us come before him with thanksgiving
and praise him with music and song.
3 For the LORD is the great God,
the great King above all gods.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth,
and the mountain peaks belong to him.
5 The sea is his, for he made it,
and his hands formed the dry land.
6 Come, let us bow down in worship,
let us kneel before the Lord our Maker;
7 for he is our God
and we are the people of his pasture,
the flock under his care.
REASONS FOR THANKSGIVING
I give God special thanks on your behalf for His provision and protection over Nigeria, you, your family and the Church of God. We are here today to give Him praise because He alone is worthy to be praised.
Today, I am the most happiest and grateful man earth for various reasons. By the grace of God, as long as I live, I will never take His grace and mercy for granted in my life, family and ministry.
I praise Him, for His call in my life was by divine grace and uncommon favor.
1 Corinthians 1:26
26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called.Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth.
When God called me, I was reluctant at first because, I thought it was going to be suffering galore, just like Abraham; God promised me His presence, help, long life, sound health, miracles, signs, wonders in my ministry, fame and prosperity.
Today, by all standard my God has been faithful to His promises in my life, family and ministry. You are also a witness and beneficiary not only that, thousands of people including you, have been blessed through God’s call and anointing on my life.
Another important reason while we gathered here today is to join me in returning all glory, honor and adoration to the Most High God for the opportunity to serve God and His children all over the world in CAC Mission worldwide for 10 good years (2007-2017) without any regret and what the CAC authority calls, “Service without Blemish.”
Those who attended the send – off programme organized by the authority of CAC last week, heard the CAC President, Pastor A.O Akinosun’s speech. I ask for your permission to quotes only some lines from his speech which read “I want to say few things about our referred father who we are celebrating today. As a father, and former General Evangelist, you served your subordinates and members of CAC worldwide in sound doctrines based on the principles and tenets of Christ Apostolic Church.
Brethren, Prophet S.K. Abiara, our father in the Lord, from whom you have been tapping the grace of God is an amiable man, an epitome of humility, spiritual icon, he is zealous for God, a renowned Evangelist, CAC faithful, a man with bundle of experience, a seasoned administrator, man of peace, kind, loving, an obedient servant of God, a man of the Spirit as well as a spiritual titan, a faithful husband and a caring father. Words cannot express what God has used Baba for in this ministry, he has trained nurtured and molded lives for Christ’s sake. Baba, I pray that your work will have earthly and eternal recompense in Jesus’ name.”
You have just listened to the testimony of CAC President about me and my tenure during those 10 years in the office of the General Evangelist. You will all agree with me that it is not my might or power, but God’s Spirit, grace, uncommon favor in my life. That is why you must join me to give God praise.
The word of God says,
I Thessalonians 5:18
18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
I am grateful to God for the life of my late wife, Christiana Aduke Abiara, the wife from my youth. She went through several difficult seasons of the ministry with me. Our union lasted for 50 years, blessed with wonderful children before she went to be with the Lord, about 2 years ago, I miss her so much because she was very caring, prayerful and supportive in all things. I equally use this medium to appreciate every one of you for your prayers and gifts of love before her departure and after, God’s presence will never depart from you.
Divine intervention concerning remarrying.
Apart from what God said in the bible,
Genesis 2:18
18 The Lord God said, “It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him.”
God specifically told me that ministry wise, He has not finished with me. He said, “You are my Prophet and Evangelist to the whole world, therefore the work just begun.”
For that reason, He provided me with a woman after His heart, in person of L/Ev. Olubunmi Grace Abiara. I wedded her, Thursday, March 22, 2018. God brought her into my life to help me fulfill divine purpose this latter part of my life. To God alone is the glory for this divine provision. I glorify Him.
Ecclesiastes 3:11
“11 He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.”
I praise God from the bottom of my heart for the success of the retirement and wedding events altogether.
APPRECIATION
I like to also use this medium to appreciate all my children, their spouses, my grand and great grand children for their understanding, steady supports and care at all times. God will continue to be with you and bless your family in Jesus name.
All members of CAC Agbala Itura worldwide have been so wonderful; I thank you all for your presence. Many of you travelled here from different parts of the world just to honor God in my life and celebrate with me. I pray that God will always give you reasons to rejoice. He will grant you safe trip to your various destinations in Jesus name. Thank you all.
I appreciate all committee members for the retirement and the wedding, you did a marvelous job. God bless you.
STATE OF THE NATION
Glory to God for the release of those kidnapped girls. However, it is very sad that some of those girls did not come back alive; I sympathize with the families of those who lost their children in that occasion. God will comfort you and help us put an end to any successive attacks in Jesus name.
My advice to the Federal Government and all security agents is that they throw their weights at urgently securing the release of Leah Bashiru. I pray that God will give His angel charge over the girl and bring her out unhurt.
I want to say at this juncture, that the security of Nigerian citizens and their properties is not negotiable. I like to encourage the Federeal Government to work on this aspect of our National life in preventing medicine after death approaches to security issues. This is very important in preventing loss of lives and avoiding painful experience of our young ones.
I want to suggest that all security personnel be trained, retrained and armed in a modern ways on how to foil any form of terrorist attack, kidnapping and other crimes in the society.
Let me also use this opportunity to warn those who for selfish political ambitions cause uproar in the country to stop henceforth, because God will expose and punish all evil people in Nigeria.
POLITICS & POLITICIANS
All politicians and aspiring ones must learn to play matured politics. They need to change their mind set because it not be a do or die affairs. They must let the interest of the people they want to govern be paramount in their hearts. Politics that is self centered must be discouraged. Our leaders should learn from the developed Countries, how are they able to have uninterrupted electricity supply and provide social amenities for their citizens.
Another election is just at the corner, why allow disunity? I encourage you to have common goal of moving our Nation forward. Therefore, get together in one voice for the betterment of Nigeria.
NIGERIANS
No matter what the enemy is doing our beloved Country will be great again. The future of Nigeria is good and bright. Nigerians, put your mind at rest. God is in control. He will arrest those troubling the peace and stability of Nigeria. Peace and unity will reign once more in Jesus name.
