You are here today to honor Iyabo Ojo, what can you say about the movie “Under The Carpet?
My darling sister, Iyabo Ojo is a fantastic person. She is a very good actress and role interpreter, take for example, her TikTok videos, if you watch most of them, you will laugh to stupor.
She is very creative and talented and I know her latest movie will nothing different. Due I am not part of the cast of the movie, so I don’t have any idea of what the storyline is. But I know it won’t be anything less than my expectation.
That is why we are all here to see exactly that thing that is Under The Carpet. Laugh! I can’t wait.
Have you done anything differently to keep you relevant in the industry for so long. Featuring in both English and Yoruba movies?
I will honestly tell you it’s God’s grace. When God is involved in things you do his grace speaks for you especially when that is where you are destined to be.
I have not done anything differently but rather I have been myself. I won’t hide the fact that I can be very crazy at times, but my life is very simple.
Then talking about being relevant for long, I feel a lot of humbility and patience is required to attain success and remain at the top.
You can’t say oh I am famous, then start taking a lot of things for granted. Respect people that you need to respect and above all put God first in everything. I don’t take God for granted, I create time for my creator and serve him.
It is very important to always remember who we are and where we are coming from.
Also, put in your best in everything you do, I believe once you interpret a role perfectly, other producers are equally watching and once they know you are good in your crafts they will definitely always invite you once they know, they have a role and you can interpret it perfectly.
So, it all takes the grace of God, hard work, dedication and patience and I believe with all these you will surely go far in the industry.
What is the secret of your ageless look ma?
Laughs!!! It’s God and peace of mind I don’t allow any unnecessary thing to bother me. I don’t force things to happen. I don’t stress myself over things. And once I am happy inside it reflects on my outward looks.
Also, my mood often determines what I wear, so I will always try to be happy once I know something will look good on me, I will surely go for it. I love to be comfortable all the time. In as much as I love to wear what is appropriate for every occasion, it has to be sexy too, like exactly what I am wearing today, I feel very comfortable in what I am wearing.
So, I don’t have any secret to looking like this, I am just always myself and I also love to take good care of myself.
You don’t look one bit 50 plus?
Yes, lots of people say that all the time, that is just me. I don’t do anything extraordinary to look younger but just being myself and enjoy life in my own little way. I don’t pack all the worries of this life on my head, once you do that, you will age immediately.
Do you still have plans of settling down again?
Of course yes, never say never, I am a sucker of love, I can find love anywhere, once I do, I will definitely give it a chance.
I can even find love where I am now laughs! So, I have not ruled out love in my life.
Remember it is not something people just plan for, but rather it just happen, so once it does, I will definitely give it a trial. I am very happy with myself now and being with the right person is also a good idea though I am being very careful, but in all I am open to finding true love.
