We spoke to four women and asked them to offer some advice for the gents on some things to consider when performing oral sex. Here’s what they had to say in their own words:
Gentler is always better – Zanele (25)
A lot of guys don’t get is that the gentler you are, the better the experience is for me. Some guys take the expression “eating her out” a bit too far. They need to remember that they are not chowing a slice of bread or cake.
It’s so important to remember that our vaginas are quite sensitive and should be handled with care.
More tongue and less teeth – Kamogelo (31)
Some men know how to use their teeth, but there really is a very fine line between pleasure and extreme pain.
When you’re performing oral sex on a woman, there’s a way to use your teeth that does not involve biting. They should only be used to rub against the area. Also, if oral sex is not something with which you’re very familiar, don’t use your teeth for anything at all!
Ease up on the saliva – Beridgette (26)
Men are always trying to make you more lubricated, but when you’re giving me oral sex, just doing what your doing is more than enough to get me wet. You don’t need to constantly and consciously lather up my vagina with saliva – it makes me very uncomfortable.
Ask me what I like, don’t assume – Zanele (35)
What might’ve worked for someone else might not work for me. Be flexible, communicate and be ready to change. If you feel like something’s not working and you’re not getting the desired results, don’t be afraid to ask – it’s nothing to be ashamed about.
