•Details Of The Classy Party @ ERINMO
It was not an Oba’s conference neither was it a special festival, however, more than 20 royal fathers stormed Erinmo in Ilesa on Sunday, April 25, 2021. It was simply the first-year remembrance party of the late Yeye Oba of Erinmo, Pastor (Mrs) SijuwolaSabaina Ajayi, the mother of the Elerinmo of Erinmo, HRM Oba (Dr) Michael Odunayo Ajayi, Arowotawaya II. The event which started with a thanksgiving service at CAC No 1, Oke IsegunErinmo, had about royal fathers from across all the south-western states of Nigeria in attendance.
There was glitz, glamour, fashion parade, display of wealth and rich cultural heritage and utmost regards for the life-threatening COVID-19 pandemic but above all, the car park was something everyone would like to visit not because of the arrangement but the class it oozed. Most guests came in their cars and they were not only fanciful, they were exotic.
Kabiesi’s country yard home hosted the reception party and it was another talking point entirely. Many of the guests that couldn’t make the thanksgiving service found their way to Oba Arowotawaya’s house and there was so much fun and merriment.
City People’s DAMILARE SALAMI 08155134152 and senior photojournalist, Abdulrasheed Sanni were present at the event and in this report, they serve you hot gists and beautiful pictures from the event, enjoy.
OBAAROWOTAWAYAII AND OLORIADEDOLAPO AJAYI STORM CHURCH SERVICE IN STYLE
When you talk about a royal father with a very strong fashion style in Nigeria, Oba Arowotawaya II is one of the names that would come to mind. The highly intelligent royal father’s fashion statement has always been loud wherever he goes and it was not different on the day he celebrated his late mum. He was dressed in a well-designed agbada made from a highly classy damask material. The most fascinating aspect of his dressing was the fact that his shoes completely matched the clothes he wore as they were made from the same material.
What about Olori Adedolapo? She equally made a statement with her royal blue gown. Gorgeous was the perfect description of this royal family as they landed the church auditorium in honor of their late mother, Pastor(Mrs) Sijuwola Sabaina Ajayi.
DIFFERENT OLORI WITH THEIR STYLE STATEMENTS
Did we tell you that there were about fifteen different Oloris at the event? Yes! Some of the royal fathers at the event came alongside their wives and they were a sight to behold together. Trust our royal mothers, they know how to combine cultural heritage with fashion styles. They all slayed in different colourful outfits that match the occasion, and of a truth, they lit up the event with their styles.
OBA AROWOTAWAYA II WAS A CHURCH BOY
Many may not know that Oba Arowotawaya II was a church boy meaning that he grew up in church and fully understood the nitty-gritty of the Christian doctrines. He proved to all and sundry he truly does and that the church is still a part of him during the thanksgiving service. He displayed his singing talent during the thanksgiving service as he took over the mic from the choir to render sonorous thanksgiving songs to his maker for the life of his beloved mother and the grace bestowed on him.
OONI OF IFE FULLY REPRESENTED
The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, though unavoidably absent, made his presence so strong by sending his staff of office, royal drummers and royal riders to spice up the event. His royal chanters were behind Oba Arowotawaya II all through the event and they added spices to the whole show.
OLODOGBO OF IDOGBO-IJESA DONATES BIG
HRH, Oba Olatunde Oginni, the Olodogbo of Idogbo-Ijesa who is the chairman, UCH Guest Hotel and De-Executive Suites made his presence very impactful by donating a huge sum to Mama’s church. The number of the royal fathers was practically countless as they came in one after the other.
AWARD-WINNING SINGER, BOYE BEST ON THE BANDSTAND
Multiple award winner and multi-talented singer, Boye Best was on the bandstand with his band members to deliver melodious songs to all the Kabiesi in attendance and other guests. The sumptuous meals served only spelt one thing, royalty. There was plenty to eat and drink and everyone went home with at least a gift from Oba Arowotawaya II.
ERELU OLUBUKOLA STEALS SHOW
There was a rain of cash on Oba Arowotawaya II as Boye Best serenaded him and other guests and one of the people that stood out was Erelu Olubukola, the Erelu of Erinmoland. The beautiful and young business mogul is a realtor and farmer who is also contributing her quota to the development of Erinmo land. She holds Oba Arowotawaya in high esteem, so it was not a surprise to see her spray him in that manner.
OLORI ADEDOLAPO AJAYI WAS EVERYWHERE
The Queen of Erinmo land, OloriAdedolapo Ajayi is truly an administrator per excellence. This was displayed in the way she ensured that all the guests were well catered to at the reception without any challenge or hitch.
OONI’S RIDER ENTERTAINS
One of the side attractions on the evening was the different stunts pulled by one of Ooni of Ife’s bike riders. Right inside the reception venue, he rode his bike with different stunts and this caught the attention of many of the guests. It was fun and entertaining such that many of them gave out cash gifts to appreciate him for a job well done.
