2019: Senatorial Candidate, Armstrong Akintunde To Prioritize Education For Ogun East

With barely two months to the2019 general elections, Senatorial candidate of the Green Party of Nigeria,GPN, Armstrong Tope Akintunde, aims to turn his attention to turning around theeducation and infrastructural sectors of the nation’s economy if elected intooffice.

Mr Akintunde, a senatorial candidate from Ogun East constituency, in an interview with newsmen stated that education remains the tool to accelerate youth empowerment, women inclusiveness, job creation, security and also fight against corruption.

In an interactive session with City People Online, the youth advocate advised Ogun people to have confidence in him, describing himself as a man with sufficient knowledge and experience to turn around the fortunes of Ijebu people.

He identified education as the bedrock upon which the nation will rise in competition with fast developing nations of the world. From elementary to tertiary level, this sector will witness an overhaul that would bring into the fore the core values of learning and scholarship. “Critical infrastructures will get serious government attention and within a year or two, Nigerians will begin to see the importance of having the right man at the helms of affairs. Youths and women deserve a place in the governance structure of this nation. So, effort is being made to get them involved in project Nigeria which Akintunde will be driving beginning from May 29, 2019.
