List Of Gov AMOSUN’s Boys Contesting Under APM

The crises in Ogun State APC has led many of Governor Amosun’s loyalists to pitch their tents with the new political party, APM. This is also the party where Governor Amosun’s preferred gubernatorial candidate, Abiodun Akinlade is contesting for Ogun State Governor.

Here is the list of Governor Amosun’s boys who are contesting under APM and the posts they are contesting for.

Rotimi Rahmon, popularly known as Arugbo is one of the most powerful politicians in Ogun State. He is referred to as Governor Amosun’s God’s son and also the former Chairman Ado Odo Local Government. Initially, it was rumoured that he’s one of those Governor Amosun looking at to give the ticket to contest for Governor in the coming election, but he will be contesting for a seat in the Federal House of Representatives, to represent Ado Odo Ota Federal Consistuency.  Governor Amosun made Rotimi  Rahmon the chairman of the Local Government Service Commission immediately after his tenure as a council boss.

He was born in the early 70s to the Adebari family of Ibari compound, Iwaye, Osi Quarters, Ota in Ogun State. He attended St. James Primary School, Ipate Oyinbo, Ota, and had his secondary school education at Anglican Grammar School, Ota. He obtained Diploma in Computer Science from Ogun State University (Now Olabisi Onabanjo University). He bagged his Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Studies and Marketing respectively from Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta.

He later proceeded to University of Lagos Akoka, Yaba for a Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc.) in Business Administration between 2008 and 2010. He later obtained his Master Degree (M.Sc) in Marketing at the same institution in 2014. He is an Information Technologist with vast experience in IT business and had managed a multi-million Naira IT business in Ibadan, from 2006. He has developed several marketing strategies for different thriving business organizations in Nigeria before his foray into politics. His leadership traits and qualities became manifest in his days in tertiary institutions where he assumed several leadership roles in different capacities.  Governor Amosun Uncle Adewolu’s son, Leke was the special adviser to the governor on Research and Documentation, he is contesting for the House of Representatives seats to represent Ewekoro Ifo Federal Constituency.

Yinka Mafe is the Majority Leader of the Ogun State House of Assembly and a two-term legislator representing Sagamu state Constituency 1. He is one of Governor Amosun die-hard loyalists and has never strayed since he has been in the office.  He is contesting to represent Remo federal constituency in  House of Representatives.

Rt. Hon Olusegun Bolanle Gbeleyi, the Consultant to the Ogun State Governor on Power. Rt. Hon Olusegun Bolanle Gbeleyi is a trained Teacher, trained Journalist (UK), Publisher, Farmer, seasoned Politician, Transporter and Public Commentator. He is contesting for Ogun West Senatorial District. 

Alh.Musefiu Lamidi, former chairman, Ado-Odo/Ota local government will contest for the House of Assembly seat to represent Ogun Ota 11,  State Constituency.

Foye Adeniyi is a typical example of a true grassroots man. He has successfully registered his love and name in the heart of Ogun-Waterside people across all political parties. The young politician has unveiled his interest to run for the Ogun State House of Assembly to represent Ogun Waterside Constituency using the All Progressives Congress in the coming 2019 elections. He was among those who moved to APM to actualize his dreams. He is still contesting for Ogun Assembly to represent Ogun Waterside.

Fagbemi Akinbode is contesting to represent Ogun Ota 1 in the Ogun State House of Assembly. Adekanbi Adegoke will contest for Ogun Ijebu North 1 State Constituency.

Hon. Sanusi Muizdeen representing Imeko Afon constituency, he won the election that kept him in the office under APC but will be contesting under APM to return to office.

The CEO of  Be Happy Group of Companies, Chief Oduniyi Adelaja, otherwise known as Be happy is contesting for the Ogun House of Assembly seat to represent Ijebu North 11 state consistency.  Hon. Sikirat Ajibola is contesting for Ipokia State Constituency. 

Hon Tunde Sanusi is a member of Ogun State House of Assembly. He is contesting to return back to office to represent Obafemi Owode State Constituency.

 To represent Ijebu East Constituency is Akinlagun Agoro. Governor Amosun’s nephew Yusuf Amosun is contesting for House of Assembly to represent Ewekoro State Constituency.

Former Speaker of the House of Assembly, Hon. Tola Banjo contested to return back to office in 2015 but lost the election. He is seeking re-election to return back to office to represent Ijebu Ode State Consistuency.  The former Managing Director at UBA Asset Management Limited, Modupe Mujota and also a former Commisioner for Education is contesting for a seat in the House of Assembly to represent Abeokuta North State Consistuency.  Prior to this, she was the Managing Director at Kakawa Asset Management Limited (2011 – 2013) and also Managing Director of BGL Asset Management Limited.  Wemimo Owolabi is contesting for Ifo 1 State Constituency. Chief Whip of the House of Assembly, Hon. Idowu Olowofuja Nureni, representing Abeokuta State South II is also contesting under APM to return back to office. Ajayi Lateefat will be contesting to represent Yewa South Constituency.  Adebayo Sulaimon is representing Odeda Constituency.  Olakunle Sobukanla is contesting to represent Ikenne State Consistuency.  Hon. Segun Idowu is contesting to represent Remo North State Consistuency. 

Ogun former Commissioner for Information and Strategy Adedayo Adeneye tried his hands to contest for a seat in the House of Assembly in 2015 but didn’t win the primaries. He contesting again to represent Odogbolu Constituency.  To represent Ijebu North East is Hon Abayomi Fasuwa. Yewa North 1 and 11 will be represented by Adebayo Adeyemi and Sogo Akinde, respectively while Hon. Kamala Adewale Sonowo and Niran Ademola will represent Sagamu 1 and 11 State Constituencies.
