SHOBA is the new music sensation that is making headlines currently in Nigeria’s music industry.

His peculiar afro beats sound has brought back the spice into African hits and also challenged existing music acts to do more.

SHOBA, whose real name is SOBALAJE OLUWAFEMI RASHEED hails from Osun State. He was born at the prestigious Obafemi Awolowo University teaching hospital complex (OAUTHC) Ile Ife osun state. The 25 year old fast rising act begin his music career at a tender age, and was encouraged by his parents and peers to be genuine, peculiar and different.

Speaking to newsmen in recent interview Shoba stated his love for music thus, “In everything I do God first n music second because music helps me feel relieved “

He added that music helps him express his state of mind.
It was gathered that the singer started doing music at age six with inspiration from the likes of Bob Marley, Sunny Ade, Michael Jackson and Lucky Dube.\
