Everybody refers to him as Emeka Green Cap. Some others call him that Green Cap wearing Abuja Lawmaker. He is a 3-time House of Representative member. He served as Deputy Speaker and for a short while Speaker in an acting capacity.
He is a native of Mbutu in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area of the state. He has paid his dues politically.
He has large followers and supporters, mainly from his Mbaise Nation and Owerri Zone. And it is believed that the strength of the Mbaise population if properly harnessed will help him win. He is also favoured by the clarion call for zoning of the seat of governor, as no person from his area has governed the state since creation.
He also comes from Owerri Zone that desperately needs the position and belonging to the main opposition PDP, gives him greater visibility.
