Monaco boss Leonardo Jardim has anticipated another end-to-end encounter but believes Manchester City will score at least once in their Champions League last-16 second leg tonight.
“I think the two teams will attack and we can expect a lot of goals. “We know we have to score at least two more but I think the individual quality of the City players is so dangerous they can score at any moment.
“So, to qualify I think we will need to score at least three goals.”
There were eight goals in the Champions League last-16 first leg tie as Manchester City beat Monaco 5-3 and City boss Pep Guardiola has no plans to sit on his side’s two-goal lead.
Monaco have scored 123 goals in all competitions this season and Guardiola said: “Taking the ball and attacking as much as possible is the only way I know to beat this type of team.
“If you are thinking about only defending for 90 minutes because we won one game 5-3, you kill yourself.
“Monaco are a team created to attack and our team is created to attack, or at least to score goals, so in that way, it will be a great game.”
Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, who takes charge of his 100th game in Europe, has no new injury concerns for tonight’s game in Monaco as City look to hold on to their 5-3 lead.
Striker Gabriel Jesus (foot) and midfielder Ilkay Gundogan (knee) are the only senior absentees.
Captain Vincent Kompany will hope to feature for only the second time since November.
Monaco’s Radamel Falcao, who scored twice in the first leg, remains a doubt after suffering a hip injury in the latter stages of Saturday’s 2-1 Ligue 1 victory over Bordeaux.
