Mr Simon Lalong, the Executive Governor of Plateau State has showered encomiums on telecommunication giant, Globacom for being a major force in the socio-economic development of Plateau State.
Governor Lalong, who spoke at the Glo stand at the official opening the 2019 Jos International Trade Fair at the Jos Polo field on Joseph Gomwalk Road, expressed satisfaction with the performance of Globacom in Plateau State, adding that “Glo products are strong, the network is smooth and the business proposition is effective.”
Going round the stands after declaring the Trade Fair open, Governor Lalong who was overtly delighted with the proudly Nigerian company, said he was pleased with the way Globacom was connecting with Nigerians in the design of its promotions.
He particularly commended the ongoing Recharge and Win Big Promo, also known as My Own Don Beta, which was deliberately introduced to empower numerous Nigerians with prizes that can turn them to successful entrepreneurs.
He said that the promo would benefit the people of Plateau by bringing new prosperity to the state with the wide range of prizes available in the promo.
Welcoming the Governor to the Glo stand, the Zonal Business Coordinator, North East Zone of Globacom, Mr Muyiwa Ogundimu, said the on-going promo will give winners trade-establishment tools that would help them set up their own businesses.
The governor was accompanied by his wife, Mrs Regina Lalong, and his deputy, Prof Sonni Tyoden, to the Glo stand.
