Lagos Biz woman Yetunde Ishola is in a happy mood now. She hosted dignitaries at her Ogudu house for a 2 n 1 party on Wednesday 29th January 2020. It was her birthday and house warming. Dignitaries from all walks of life gathered to celebrate her.
Royalties, business moguls, cosmetologist, fabric merchants stormed her event. She was filled with so much joy and was dancing at the slightest sound of Music and the guests were wondering if there was more to the celebration. She cleared the air when she took the Microphone. “I was on a journey but there were huddles on the way but God made me scale through. My late mum told me so many things before she died. She just called me one day and asked my niece to write the medications for fibroid for me because I had fibroid then.
I was wondering why she was saying all this and she mentioned that I have to choose one of these two options in life. It is either I live long and face diverse challenges or I die early and face challenges. She said Abeke you will live long and face different challenges but you will overcome it all. I kept wondering what she meant because I am so full of live and happiness and I have almost everything I need in life. I felt she was aging and that was why she was saying all that not knowing they were my realities in parables. When the challenges came, I remembered what my mum told me and that is why she is so precious to me” She added.
I made a promise to myself that any street I want to build a house must be named after my late mother Amudalat Ajiun and I will not build in a street that I cannot name after my mother. All of my houses in Nigeria are named after my mother and many people regard me as Amudalat Ajiun not knowing it is my mother’s name. I lost my dad when I was 9 years old and she single-handedly raised me and my siblings. Something happened last month that I trivialized but the doctors had to do their best to save my life. I thought it was just a normal surgery but when they opened me, they saw something else. The doctors started running helter-skelter.
The doctors that were supposed to carry out the operation were 7 but thank God he had 15 doctors on standby if not the story would have been different but I thank God for his faithfulness. I am thankful. I thank God for the people he surrounded me with. I will like to specially appreciate Pastor Adeola Aina my brother’s wife. She is like a mother to me. She stood by me in terms of money, prayers and counsel.
I also appreciate God for my children and grandchildren. Another person I will like to appreciate is my bosom friend Mrs Labake Akinola. She stood by me when the road was really rough most especially when I was building this house. I also appreciate my siblings for their love and support. What happened to me last month taught me that life is vanity and no matter our race on earth, it is only God that can make us run the race to the end. God redeemed me and brought back my soul. You might not understand what I went through but I know God gave me a second chance to live again so I can know and appreciate his worth.
