Leaders of Mile 12 International Market say they will start the mobile market to allow people have access to food during the 14-day lockdown in Lagos.

President Muhammadu Buhari ordered the lockdown to slow the pace of the spread of Coronavirus in the country.

The order took effect in Lagos and Abuja on Monday while Ogun would start on Friday.

Executive Chairman of Mile 12 International Market, Shehu Usman, said they have concluded plans to make food available to people through a mobile market.

He said, “The mobile market will visit streets in the neighbourhood in all the 20 local government areas for retail sales of essential perishable commodities.

“The mobile market is structured to sell to residents in small quantities in a well packaged and hygienic way.”
