Tell us the story of Mace Club. How old is it?
Mace Club was formed by progressively ambitious young men on April 1st,1984 in Abeokuta and subsequently registered with Corporate Affairs Commission on the 4th December 1990. It was a platform created for young men at that time for social interaction. It became an Avenue for members then to share their vision while exploring the various opportunities available through members as well as honourary members to cement the bond of friendship. The Club was equally founded on the need to engage in humanitarian/community services. It is on this note that the Club has made it a point of duty from inception to visit and give succour to good people of lepers colony in Abeokuta, motherless babies homes, Schools for the Physically Challenged among others. The Club has an annual programme tagged Rollback Malaria. We organise debates and quiz competitions amongst Secondary schools across Ogun State to sensitize people on the scourge of malaria.
