Our attention has been drawn to errors in our recent report in City People on the colorful engagement ceremony of Oba Abdulfatai Oyeyinka Aremu Aromire, the Ojora of Ijoraland and the Iganmu Kingdom, Lagos State, to his new and stunning Olori Funmilayo Aromire.
We have since been told that the wedding ceremony did not take place at his palace in Ijora, Lagos. We have also been told that his new wife had, before the ceremony, been engaged to him for 6years, with a 3-year-old child. In addition, we have been corrected that the new wife’s age is not 35 and that her age is not anyway near what was claimed. We also gathered that Kabiyesi did not have to seek his elder wife, Olori Agba’s approval to marry the younger Olori.
We regret any embarrassment that our earlier report may have caused the most respected Monarch, Oba Aromire, who we hold in high esteem, along with his new stylish Olori. 1
