Where were all the active real estate players in Nigeria on Sunday 25th July, 2021? It was the 6th City People Real Estate Awards, where close to 500 real estate players gathered under one roof to witness this annual event which attracted a lot of MD’s and CEO’s of top real estate firms held at the 10 Degrees Centre, the venue of this years award. 45 Real estate companies were honoured along with their CEO’s.
The hall was star-studded and filled to the brim as winners stormed the award ceremony with their celebrity friends. The organisers didn’t expect such a huge turnout. Many winners came personally to receive their award plaque.
The event kicked off with a Keynote address by Mrs. Toke Benson Awoyinka, the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Housing. She delivered a 25 minutes speech which revealed a lot about the efforts of the Lagos State government under Governor Babajide Sanwolu. She commended City People for taking a more than passing interest in the real estate sector. She also commended the property developers in Lagos for complying with the rules and regulations guiding real estate practice in Lagos. She gave what appeared like a policy speech.
