The popular Haven Event Centre, in Ikeja, Lagos stood still on Saturday 14th August 2021, when Lagos big boy, Babasola Odunayo Ojutalayo, who is a pharmacist got married to his long time beau, Chiamaka Chienyen Alagbogu in grand style.
You can’t help but appreciate the strong bond that the handsome gentleman and his bride, who is bold and beautiful shared at their wedding.
They were the cynosure of all eyes, as they dazzled all through.
He dazzled in a glittering white tuxedo, matched with a black shoe. He was full of smiles as he came to seek the hand of Chiamaka in marriage from her parents.
Chiamaka made her first appearance at a few minutes past 3 PM in a sparkling black SUV. The chubby and bold bride dazzled in a white fully embellished wedding gown. Her well wrapped white bridal headgear was well tied to match her face.
Even the handsome Groom, Babasola couldn’t take his eyes off her while she danced in with her cliques of friends.
If there is anybody whose joy knew no bounds at the Chiamaka and Babasola wedding, it was the parents of the new couple. Dr and Mrs Ojutalayo, the parents of the groom were more than happy to see that their handsome son had found his missing ribs.
The two families didn’t waste time before they exchanged gifts between themselves.
There was plenty of time for guests to relax and mingle for many hours after the church service. The reception proper kicked off at a few minutes past 2pm. Though the church wedding kicked off at the Archbishop Vinning Memorial Church close to the wedding venue, guests were ushered into the other well-decorated hall, which was used for the grand reception.
Guests couldn’t help but appreciate the unique transformation done by the event decorator and event planner.
They judiciously made use of White and Gold which turned the venue into heaven on earth. The couple’s corner was beautiful transformed with rose flowers which kept shining and it romantic aroma filled the air.
A few minutes past 2 pm, His Imperial Majesty, Oba Kabiru Shotobi, the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, who was the chairman of the day walked into the well-decorated hall majestically with his entourage. They were quickly provided a seat at the special table.
At a few minutes past 4pm, the anchor of the event, MC Ralph coordinated the cutting of cake and the royal father gave his chairman open remarks. He told the couple to always communicate in their marriage and advice that marriage only survives where couple sees each other as friends.
One of the friends of bride’s mum who was wore special tuile lace outfit, was Mrs Bola Hamzat. She was the cynosure of all eyes as she stepped in with top Nollywood actress, Cherry Ayilara, who is her close friend, and Iyalaje Oshodi who also appeared elegant.
She had no hiding place despite designing her dress as a simple attire. Her diamond jewellery did the talking, as she was later joined by her darling husband.
On the bandstand was Faith band led by sonorous lead singer, Ayo Ajekigbe, as DJ Bee Jordan was on standby to support with classy international numbers.
Food and drinks were available at every corner of the venue as one of the best drinks companies Richbet Drinks, and Ess & Tee Catering Service, Remmy’s professional caterers and many food vendors were on ground.
