Rev Esther Abimbola Ajayi

Have you ever wondered why many church leaders don’t joke with Reverend Mother Esther Ajayi? We would tell you why. Have you also wondered why the leadership of C&S Church has tremendous respect for this woman of God, just as the various C&S parishes revere her? We can tell why. It is because of the great seeds she has sown across all the churches.

Many were pleasantly surprised during the dedication of her new Love of Christ Generation Church Cathedral on Water Corporation Drive, in Victoria Island, Lagos a few days ago, when the event attracted many church leaders, like the G.O of RCCG, Pastor E. A. Adeboye and his wife Pastor Mrs. Foluke Adeboye, Rev. Dr. Samson. Ayokunle, (the President of C.A.N), Pastor Mrs. Funke Felix Adejumo and His Eminence, Rev. Pastor Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa, the head of Celestial Church.

Not only that. His Eminence Dr. Solomon Adegboyega Alao, the Supreme Head, C&S Unification Church of Nigeria and many more church leaders rallied around her.

In his congratulatory message to Rev. Mother Esther Ajayi, Rev. E.M.F Oshoffa, the Pastor & Spiritual head of CCC Worldwide wrote on behalf of all members of Celestial Church of Christ (Worldwide), “Your dedication to Kingdom projects, with particular reference to the Aladura family, is commendable. It is my prayer that you continue to grow in Grace and Anointing in Jesus name. Amen”

Snr. Supt. Apostle Dr. J.O Adagba JP, the Chairman of the Lagos State chapter of Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria also congratulated Rev. Mother Abimbola Esther Ajayi who he referred to as “our benefactress”. His Most Eminence Prof. (Dr.) S.A. Alao, the Supreme Head  C&S Unification Church in Nigeria and the top Exco of the Church also took out a page to congratulate Rev. Esther Ajayi. He wrote on behalf of the Ecclesiastical Council, & National Exe. Council and all Seraphs both in Nigeria and the Diaspora. On behalf of Cherubim & Seraphim Unification Church of Nigeria, based at Seraphim land, KM 40, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway, Maba, Ogun State, he wrote: “We also seize the opportunity of today’s event to appreciate your kind gesture towards the massive infrastructural developments, on the Seraphim Land at Maba, Ogun State and the proposed Moses Orimolade University (MOU) site, Omu Aran, Kwara State”. The one-page Advert was signed by Apostle Olatunde Ogunkunle (Secretary-General) and the Chairman of the National Executive Council (NEC), His Eminence E.O. Owomoyela.

City People can authoritatively reveal that all these church leaders don’t joke with Rev. Esther Ajayi because of her act of GIVING. She is always quick to support anything that will lead to the growth of the church. In the brochure of the church dedication, she revealed a lot about her commitment to the act of GIVING. “No matter how deep your debt, the Lord can free you from it but you learn to Give. Let me tell you my story. My family and I used to be so broke that our slogan was “give us this day our daily bread”, we only knew what we would eat and where we will sleep today and tomorrow was up to God. We were so broke that we didn’t have anything. My daughter had only one bra which she wore for months and she only wore the bra on Sunday. All our belongings were only packed in two bags so that we could move from one place to another quickly.”

“We became debt-free when I understood the act of Giving with an expectation from the Lord. I started Giving with the little I had, the more I gave, the more increase I had. The Lord wants you today to have faith in Him and let go of the little in your hands.

Give and Pray with this bible verse; say, God, I want you to bless me with great wealth, according to 3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth”. Thank you. May God prosper you as you hearken diligently onto His voice.”

In her Prosperity Bible, Rev. Esther Ajayi revealed the unique history of the C&S Church. According to her, the C&S Church is part of the move and visitation of the Holy Spirit to many parts of the world during the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.”

“The C&S Church started simply as a group of believers who believe in the power and efficacy of prayers. At the beginning, there was no name given to the group. Later, as the number grew and registration became imminent, the group resorted to prayer and fasting in search of a suitable name. After a few days of praying and fasting, a visioner in the group saw the letter ‘SE’ in the sky with the rest of the world being obscured by clouds. Later another set appeared as ‘RA’ in the same manner. Upon investigation, a clergyman from the United Native African Church helped to interpret the combination as ‘SERAFU’ (SERAPH). Upon hearing the interpretation, the Founder, Baba Aladura Orimolade rose and stood in the middle of the assembly room, turned to the four corners of the room and pronounced: ‘In the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost, this Society will be called “SERAFU:”

The whole assembly then rose and shouted ‘Alleluyah’ signifying unanimous acceptance and approval with joy. Thus, the group became known first as ‘Egbe Serafu’ (Seraphim Society).

Through vision and directive at a later time, Archangel Michael was named as Captain and Patron Saint of the Society.

Later on, after naming the group as ‘Seraphim Society; a woman narrated her dream relating to the name. In her dream, she saw a large company of young children dressed in beautiful white garments, and she was instructed that the name ‘KERUBU’ (Cherubim) should be added to the name because KERUBU & SERAFU (Cherubim and Seraphim) are like twin angels in heaven who should not be separated.

Thereupon, the Society was renamed Cherubim & Seraphim Society. Thus, it became widely recognised that the C&S is the only church whose name came through vision and can be identified functionally in the Bible, especially with the affinity of Cherubim & Seraphim with the Throne of Almighty God. Moreover, the group became the first Christian body whose members are all robed in white garments in Nigeria.

The wearing of white garments can theologically be viewed as apocalyptic because the Lord’s Prayer says, ‘Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.’ This quote from the Lord’s Prayer is comely, especially for the Cherubim & Seraphim, who in heaven are robed in whites (Rev. 7: 13-15).

Cherubim and Seraphim church began to worship as a Christian body on Wednesday the 9th of September, 1925. It is commonly believed by members that the Lord God Himself established the church here on earth through Moses Orimolade Tunolase of the blessed memory with Captain Abiodun Emmanuel, who was then a young lady but whose seven-day trance actually marked the beginning of what is known as the Cherubim & Seraphim church.

They are united under the Unification of C&S churches council. The head of this Unification is His Most Emminence Prophet (Dr.) Solomon Adegboyega Alao (Supreme Head of C&S).

Sacred, Eternal, Aladura and Movement are all one under the Unification Council, and the church is focused on Christ with no division.

Lately, there have been drives to modernise and brand the church in order to encourage more youth into the church and also dispel some negative schools of thought about the church through Seminars, all-inclusive forms of worship, use of the English language in service and revivals across the world to showcase the biblical authenticity of the church.

This drive was initiated by Rev. Mother Esther Abimbola Ajayi (Founder & Spiritual Head at Love of Christ Church Worldwide). Attesting to this was a recent joint revival between C&S and Celestial Church in 2017 and another revival scheduled in New York in July 2018. The church continues to grow and spread worldwide to God’s glory.
