The Association of Professional Party Organisers and Event Managers of Nigeria (APPOEMN) celebrated The Event Industry Conference (TEIC) on Tuesday 27th and Wednesday 28th September, 2022.

The event started with a seminar  on Tuesday, 27th of September  and ended up with award night/dinner on Wednesday, 28th September, 2022. With the theme “Globalization”, the much talked of event  was held at White Stone Event Center Ikeja, Lagos.

City People’s Titilope Oshunlalu and Sunday Oyemade were on ground to  bring you gist from the top-notch event.

The hall was magnificently decorated, starting from the entrance of the hall to the red carpet with green colours, beautiful chandeliers, fliers all over the hall and more. Dress code was Paris Run Way. You will agree with us that the event was exceptional.  It showed that the organizers  are professionals in their field, they all turned out in glamorous looks. The event was not only attended by event managers alone but everyone in the entertainment industry, though it was  powered by APPOEMN. It was a night full of merriment which also gave opportunity to people to mingle with a lot of prominent people in the entertainment industry.

MC Ajele powered the mic to show his dexterity. He was co-MC  with  Chiyoing, they both thrilled guests with hilarious jokes and tried to speak French Language to communicate with guests as the theme included a night in Paris. Right from the beginning of the event, after the recitation of the Nigerian National Anthem, there was also  the recitation of  French National Anthem and after which the president in person of Mrs Adefunke Kuyoro declared the event open. She welcomed everyone present and appreciated everyone. It was the 6th edition of the conference and 10th  annual anniversary of APPOEMN. Speaking at the event, Mrs. Kuyoro said a seminar was held a day before the night, she further illustrated that the seminar was meant  to educate them as no one is satisfied to just look like a local champion anymore and the conference also helped to educate them to know the next line of action  and what not to be done in the industry, because they need to know beyond the shores of Nigeria. She explained  how one can become a member of the association. Furthermore,  she said to become a member of the association one  will have to go through 6 months training and must be 2 years in the business, while going through the training one  will be scrutinized on the rules involved in the business.

There was a walk way as members and excos walked their way on the stage while guests looked on as though it was the Most Beautiful Girl in the Universe Show.

DJ Frech was at the wheels of steel. He got everyone to put on their dancing shoes. From oldies to latest vibes, he played all sorts of music. From hip-hop, classics, high life and Afro beats.
