Ijebu Professional Excellence Foundation Honours 22 Indigenes

The Ijebu Professional Excellence Foundation (IPEF), on Thursday 27th of October, 2022, held its annual Merit Award Ceremony in style.

The day’s event was the 11th edition and was held at the A5 Hall and Events in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State.

IPEF, the organiser of the annual award ceremony is a body conceived and founded 13 years ago by late Chief Oladipupo Bailey of blessed memory with the aim to promote the spirit of professionalism in the entire Ijebuland. In addition, the body gives due recognition to distinguished Ijebu sons and daughters who have succeeded in their chosen professional fields worldwide.

The previous editions of the award ceremony have seen about 164 prominent Ijebu indigenes been honoured with its prestigious merit awards. Its last edition was held in 2019 as COVID 19 pandemic was the major reason why the annual ceremony was put on hold for a while. But now its organisers. Are back stronger, bigger and better.

This year 2022 edition of the award ceremony was a glamorous one. It was held under the chairmanship of Otunba Engineer F.O. Arowolo, Co-founder and joint chairman of ARON Nigeria Limited.

The organisers have done well to honour 22 nominees as recipients of the award, who are big and trailblazers in their fields of endeavour.  The full list of the awardees is as follows:

DRADAMS

(1) Prince Gbolahan Adegbuyi Adebule, a world renown Orthopaedic Surgeon was honoured under the Medicine category.

(2) Dr. Adekunkle Adefala was honoured for his exemplary music career.

(3) Honourable Mrs. Iretiolu Adeola Adenugba (FCPA), the Vice Chairman of Odogbolu Local Government Area in Ogun State was honoured for her outstanding administration skills.

(4) Late Professor Frances Oluwafunmilayo Ajose was given a Post Humous Honour for her indelible contribution to the field of Medicine.

(5) Late Sheikh Toheeb Olatunji Asiru Akewukanwo of the blessed memory received a Post Humous honour for his immense contribution to the propagation of Islamic Education.

(6) Otunba (Ambassador) Olusegun Akinsanya MNI was honoured in the category of Diplomacy.

(7) Colonel Engineer Mohammed Kamorudeen Awokoya (RTD.) bagged the honour in the aspect of Security

(8) Alhaji Abdul-Rasak Badmus got recognized in the area of Accountancy.

(9) Otunba Lekan Belo was honour in the area of Finance.

(10) Chief Titilayo Olukolade, an academic of great repute was honoured for his contribution to Education.

(11) Otunba Akinsanya Olugbenga Doherty, a seasoned financial guru was honoured for his outstanding profile in finance.

(12) Otunba Diran Eyinfujowo M. Sc., MNIOB was honoured for his contribution to the Building industry. (13) Architect Olatokunbo Ayodele Fowode FNIA, MNI, former Rector of Moshood Abiola Polytechnic, Abeokuta, got an accolade for his impeccable achievement as an Architect.

(14) Professor Oladele Surajudeen Gazal a renowned academic don was honoured for contributing greatly in the education sector.

15) Chief John Olayide Idowu, a reputable Insurance expert was honoured to being outstanding in the industry.

(16) Otunba Adewale Jubril, a seasoned chartered stock broker and banker was been honoured in the area of finance.

(17) Dr. Margaret Aribiyo Mafe, a medical doctor and academic was awarded for her invaluable contribution to Medicine.

(18) Professor Bankole A. Okuwa, an academic of international repute bagged the award for his contribution to the Education Sector.

(19) Alhaji Adetunji Oloko FCA, aka MUSTUK, a successful businessman and accountant was honoured in his accountancy line.

(20) Mr. Tunde Ayinde Oladunjoye, a celebrated journalist and Chairman OGTV was duly honoured for his outstanding records in the field of journalism.

(21) Arch. Ayodele M. Olufawo MNIA, B. Arch. (Illiniois) was honoured for being exceptional in the architectural field.

(22) Dr. Olugbenga Kehinde Oluseye, a celebrity journalist and Publisher of City People Magazine was celebrated and honoured for being one of the faces of Ijebu look up to in the field of Journalism.

Each of the awardees and their respective guests have a remarkable celebration at the ceremony as they were given a deserving reception under the relaxing and lovely event hall. They had the feel of accomplishment being with fellow celebrities and great Ijebu indigenes.
