The prestigious Abeokuta Sports Club now has 34 new Vice-Patrons. Their investiture took place a few days ago at the club’s Sir Kessington Adebutu Legacy Hall in Abeokuta. City People can authoritatively reveal to you that many of them are top celebrities and eminent personalities in society, like former Ogun Deputy Governor, Alhaja Salimot Badru. Real Estate guru, Otunba Olumide Osunsina is among the Vice Patrons, just like Prince Gboyega Nasir Isiaka (GNI) who is a 3 times governorship candidate in Ogun State.
Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, the current Ogun SSG has been made a Vice-Patron. Others include Mr. Dapo Rahaman Okubadejo. He is the current Finance Commissioner and Chief Economic Adviser to Gov. Dapo Abiodun. There is also Princess Rosemary Osula Mku-Atu, a big time philantropist, Dr. Nafiu Aigoro, Ogun State Head of Service, AIG Kayode Egbetokun who is currently the AIG in charge of Zone 7, Abuja and AIG Adeyinka Bode Adeleke, the current AIG Zone 2 Command, comprising Lagos & Ogun State.
2 respected traditional rulers were also made Vice-Patrons. They are HRH Oba Lawrence Olawole Odeyinka, the Olu of Siun and HRH Oba Olufemi Ogunleye, Towulade of Akinde. There are others like CP Olayoye Durosinmi, Deacon Atilade Bolarinwa (FCA) who is an Executive Director in Obasanjo Holdings LTD and Vice-Chairman of 2 companies in the group. CP Lanre Sikiru Bankole, the Commissioner of Police Ogun State Command has also been made a Vice-Patron, just like Otunba Wasiu Jaiyeola Taiwo who is popularly known as Wessy, and Alhaji Chief Tajudeen Olori, who is a topshot at NLNG.
Chief Isaiah Olusesan Sofoluwe, a businessman of high repute has also been made a Vice Patron along with others like Chief Soji Ogunjobi, a politician and Chief Kolawole Ibrahim Akinyele a businessman and a philanthropist High Chief Oluwole Adeyi is now one of the Vice Patrons of Abeokuta Sports Club, along with Alhaji Fatai Olatunji, a businessman who plays big in Oil & Gas, and Mr. Bayo Sodade, a retired Permanent Secretary.
