by Reporter

Darling Tayo,

You have finally joined the prestigious club on the 6th Floor, it is supposed  to be the retirement age, but I can confidently say you will not be doing so anytime soon. But maybe you will consider slowing down just a wee bit! Ha Ha!

I have learnt many life lessons from you. One of which is to have confidence and contentment at each stage  of life’s journey. As you would always say ‘everything in life is in stages’. I have also observed yo ur Growth, development, struggles, mistakes, achievements and victories.

One of the things I admire the most about you is your love for your nuclear and extended family. You want everyone around you to do well and succeed. You also have a love for life and in recent times a renewed zest for health and wellbeing. Tayo, we may not always agree on some subject matters but I know that your heart and position is always coming from a good place.

I am so proud of all your achievements. From being the loving and caring husband and father that you are, to being an exceptional business leader. I couldn’t have asked for a better husband. I love you with every fiber of my being and all my heart. You deserve to be celebrated everyday.

As it is your landmark birthday, I want you to bask in, soak up and relish all the attention, love, joy and prayers because you deserve to be celebrated.

My prayer for you is that you will wax strong in strength, wisdom and your relationship with god. Happy birthday to my sweetheart, the one and only Andy T. and Baba Ibeji! You are my rock.

Andy T!

Hmmmm! You are now 60 years old.

Agba ti de o!

I’m lucky and blessed to have a father like you. The stories you have told me, the experiences we have shared together. The encouragement, support and prayers that you have poured into my life. I’m deeply grateful for all of it.

You are a constant source of joy and laughter with your constant jokes and dance moves. You lift the spirit of every room you walk into and you stay strong and optimistic in the face of adversity. You are a father that is a blessing to his children and I pray that your Heavenly Father will fill your life with continued abundance and many reasons to keep on smiling and shining. You are a superstar!

Dad,

Bappy60th!

Thinking back at my 30 years with you has been eventful. From being the young dad juggling and building a business to taking me out for occasional ice cream and popcorn at Pintos and Red Hat on Allen Avenue! Being your daughter has been a ride in itself. Sometimes we laugh, sometimes you aren’t too pleased with me but altogether when we speak, we make up and it’s like history.

Getting’married has been a weird experience with a rollercoaster of feelings. You suddenly realise that there’s no perfect way to do the “family” thing and you become very grateful for the one you have. So here is my list of Thank You’s!l Thank you for always providing for us. Thank you for mostly doing it with a smile. Thank you for teaching me resilience and optimism (1 can count the number of times that you have seemed overwhelmed and yet you handled matters like a

trooper). Thank you for teaching me the importance of hard work)

Thank you for picking up my calls when I’m overwhelmed and affirming me when I ask “Did I do something wrong?” “How do I become successful?” “Do you think I’ll be good in the future” and more importantly, “What will my lIfe end up looking like?” I’m sure you can recall the long annoying “Calm Mathilda down” conversations.

Thank you for teaching me to live my life, have fun and not take myself too seriously. We all know Mathilda needs it. Thank you for being soo soo proud of me even when I’m being hard on myself and thank you for profusely checking on me when I’rn unwell. Lastly, thank you for encouraging me to look cute haha and join you in your workout sessions.

I love you. 1 know I’m sometimes hard on you. Just so you know dad, I’m very proud to be your daughter!

Your first born

Dad, I am privileged and honored to have you not only as my father but also as my biggest inspiration and teacher. From learning about the basics of the beautiful game to the importance of working out, I can say that you have taught me so much. Most importantly, you taught me the importance of hard work. Seeing you achieve all your goals and manage your various business ventures with such diligence, while being so present in our lives, has motivated and inspired me. You bring so much joy and happiness to everyone you come across and we appreciate you kind and generous spirit.

As you turn 60 today, I pray God continues to grant all your heart desires. I pray for continued good health, abundant happiness and blessings. I pray you continue to be the life of the party. Thank you for your endless support. We love you, we appreciate you, and we are so happy to celebrate with you. Happy 60th birthday dad!

Dear dad,

Happy 60th birthday

Wow, I can’t believe that’s how *young* you are!

I’m so grateful that I have you as my father. Thank you for being so loving, fun, and youthful! I’ll always cherish our father-daughter dates around Lagos, our workout sessions at 6am, and our business discussions over wine. Not only am I energised and filled with love at each moment we spend together, but I’ve also learned so much from you! You have taught me discipline, with how you wake up each morning, train with intensity, and then spend the whole day at work.

You have taught me to live and also to be life, with how you enjoy and live your life to the fullest, staying enthusiastic at every point, no matter what challenges arise. You taught me how to box and kick-box which is the reason I am so resilient and tough, just like you. Most importantly, you’ve taught me self-love, with how look after yourself and prioritise your joy, health, and heart. In this new decade, I’m wishing you an abundance of peace, fulfillments and faith. I love you dad! To 60 more years!

Love

Similicious
