Her real name is Odunayo Akinnuwa, but most people call her “Nayo”. She is a Nigerian-born female fashion designer and entrepreneur currently based in Cape Town.
She is one of the great female Achievers CityPeople will be celebrating this Sunday in Lagos, at the CityPeople Female Achievers Awards.
She recently told CityPeople her success story.
“In 2018, I graduated from FEDISA with a bachelor’s degree in fashion, and in 2020, I launched my own fashion brand. My designs are not just clothes, but also pieces of art that tell a story. Each piece reflects my growth, beliefs, and energy, and I aim to inspire women to become their best selves through my work.
When I’m not designing, you can usually find me exploring nature or listening to music. Both of these things inspire me and fuel my creativity. As an artist, I am constantly seeking new sources of inspiration and ways to express myself through my designs.
