My Darling KEM,

You are truly still fabulous at 60, you haven’t changed since we met 33 years ago. Kemi you are everything to me, my wife, friend, partner, prayer warrior and mother. Arolake, Abimbola and I are now seeking more for your attention because you have the listening ear. You are best described in Proverbs 31 : 10-31 as “A VIRTUOUS WOMAN” You are humble, loyal, trustworthy, sincere and very dependable. My worries and problems are yours. Ever so caring, with good heart. Olukemi, my love and affection for you is not only because of your beauty and elegance, but the characteristics that are inherent in you, true wife, mother and friend. Your love for children both yours and others is second to none. You have been a great support in my careers and aspirations. This is another opportunity to appreciate you publicly. Thank you ever so much for being a great strength and pillar to us [Arolake, Abimbola and my humble self].

You have made our home strong. That’s why I call you the SUBMARINE. KEM, I will never stop thanking God on daily basis for bringing you to my life. You are a woman every man prays to have as a wife and also a good daughter to Mummy and Daddy they never stopped telling me how much they both appreciate you especially in their old age how you care for them. Mojisola Olukemi, I wish you many more happy years in peace, joy, happiness and most importantly good health. Amen. Our children will continue to make us proud. Our marriage will continue to be a blessing, grow from strength to strength, we shall see our children’s children together in happiness and good health In Jesus Name. “ Great is thy faithfulness morning by morning you will continue to see God’s new mercies”

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DARLING.

My unreserved Love Always, Bimbola

Dear Mum,

It’s a day of celebration and I’m so thankful to celebrate your 60th birthday with you for so many endless reasons:

Firstly, thank you for teaching me how to be considerate, I’m always in awe with how no matter the circumstance you show empathy and understanding towards the people that surround you. Thank you for being caring. Wherever you are, you make sure that the people around you are comfortable and cared for.

Thank you for being there for me, even when I’m thousands of miles away and hours behind you still make the time to check in on me, when I need a shoulder to cry on, or someone to just talk to. Thank you for your endless compassion not just to me, but to everyone else. You always try to see the good in people and give them the benefit of the doubt. The constant reminder to be kinder to people because you never know what someone is going through. Thank you for being open minded and your endless support. Even when you don’t understand it, you are still cheering me on. Thank you for always being there for Bimbola and I, no matter what day of the week, time, or year it is. You give us space to be ourselves and you continue to teach us how we can grow and become the best versions of ourselves.

Thank you always for your hope, encouragement, support and love. You deserve to be celebrated not just today, but for every other day. Happy Birthday Mum! May your 60th year and the next decade of your life be the best one yet. I am very thankful for you!

Lots of Love,

From Rolake!

I’ve known Mrs Ashiru for about 26 years now, she’s everyone’s favorite and is always willing to put herself first before others, but instead today we get to put her first and celebrate 60 incredible years on earth, where she’s been our biggest cheerleader, confidant, hero and friend. With my mother and I, it goes even deeper in the family as we are the most similar in attitude, perception and general looks. When there’s a little squabble or #disagreement in our general meetings, we are never both far away from a glare across, with a smirk confirming we are both thinking the same. She’s also transitioned into a little old Citeh enthusiast, so another plus. My mums unwavering love, selfless and devotion spreads far and wide as will be testified by anyone who has had a single conversation with her. I pray that you continue to have many more years of good health, long life and prosperity, may the good lord continue. to grant you all your hearts desires and bless you infinitely. I Love you loads mum!!

SIXTY ALREADY, amazing how time flies by, seemed like yesterday when you celebrated your 40th and just a minute ago, your 50th. I bless God who always causes us to triumph and has caused you to see yet another milestone birthday in good health.

May he crown this year with his goodness and his bounty and May he satisfy you on every side. As you celebrate, may he put new songs in your mouth, songs of inexplicable joys and victories, songs of unending alleluias. May your praises rise up to him like a sweet smelling sacrifice and May the Lord smile down at you. May he drench your paths with the refreshing dew of Hermon, pronouncing his blessings of life everlasting over you. May the Lord who sees your innermost desires, those ones that you are not even able to share with anyone, answer each one of them speedily.

May he do exceedingly and abundantly above your wildest imaginations, hopes and desires. May he cause you to laugh, to laugh with “the Otunba” brother Bimbo, laugh with Rolake laugh with Bimbola and aU your loved ones. May he give you the grace to be all he created you to be and may you fulfill your purpose on this side of heaven. As times and seasons in brother Bimbo, Rolake and Bimbola’s lives changes, may you be like the sons of Issachar, being able to discern the times. May he bless you with the wherewithal to be what and who you need to be to them as is needed by them I pray that the sounds of rejoicing and cornucopia of joys will be unending in your life and home. As we all gather to celebrate with you, celebrate you and give thanks to the almighty, may our songs of praise be sweet and our dancing beautiful and tireless. Here’s wishing you a truly blessed life, an extremely happy birthday and many many many more gloriously joyous returns of the day, in Jesus’ name amen.

Dear Big Mummy,

Where do I start writing a tribute to my big sister as she celebrates another landmark birthday?. As we celebrate your 60th birthday, I want to take a moment to appreciate the incredible role you have played in our lives. You are not just a sister to us, but also a confidant and a mentor who has helped us navigate life’s challenges with grace and wisdom.

One of the things I admire most about you is how you have always been the one everyone turns to resolve issues. Your calm demeanor, understanding, and ability to see things from different perspectives have helped us resolve many conflicts over the years. You are a peacemaker, and your presence brings a sense of calm to any situation.

When I had the twins, you were there for me every step of the way. You offered unwavering support and took over your turn in staying up with Keke, placing her on your chest into the duvet where she slept peacefully for a few hours. You have been a wonderful mother to my twins, always there to offer guidance, support, and love. (which is indicated in Moyin’s tribute) Your nurturing spirit has helped shape them into the amazing individuals they are today, and we are forever grateful. I remember how excited the twins were when they heard we were planning a family trip, and they immediately asked if you would be joining us. They know that traveling with you means having delicious home-cooked meals and enjoying your company.

The twins and I have stayed in your house for months at a time, at different times of their lives and the twins just take over the space in their early years with our travel cots, multiple sterilisers, and many nannies as I was wont to do, as they grew older they would wander in and out of all the spaces and going to disturb Big Daddy in his study.

As we celebrate your birthday, we want to thank you for being such an amazing sister and role model. You are an incredible woman who has touched so many lives with your kindness and generosity.

On this milestone birthday, we celebrate your life, your accomplishments, and your unwavering commitment to your family. May this new decade bring you joy, peace, good health, and prosperity. We love you, Big Mummy, and wish you a happy and memorable birthday!

Happy birthday to our forever young-looking big sister who is loving, kind an always down to earth!

She gives good counsel and often stresses the importance of prayers. I admire her authenticit) sense of style, generosity and thank God for having her in our lives. Big mummy as she is fondly called is a true mother hen. We always look forward to her visit because we know she will cook the most scrumptious of meals. Scrumptious meals aside, we enjoy her company and love her sense of humour as she tells some of the funniest jokes! It was always a delight when she visits.

Congratulations on this important milestone and may God grant our dear sister many more years in joy, peace and all her hearts desires In Jesus name!

Dearest Egbon,

Happy 60th Birthday! Today, we are not just celebrating another year, but a significant mlleston that represents a life well-lived, brimming with love, laughter, and cherished memories. As you reach this momentous point in your journey, I want to take a moment to express my gratitude and admiration for the profound impact you have had on me at every stage of my life. I remember when I was just a pre-teen, and you gifted me my first Subbuteo table soccer, which was the ultimate gaming experience in the 70s, equivalent to the modern-day Sony PlayStation. The sheer joy and wonder I felt as a young boy are still etched in my heart.

As a teenager, you had just returned to Nigeria from England after graduating, and you brought with you a sophisticated European palate blended with Nigerian flavors. You introduced us to a plethora of European dishes that enriched our taste buds, and your culinary skills were unparalleled. It was always a feast of good food on top of more good food. Yum Yum!

During my post-teenage years, I had the privilege of enjoying unrestricted access to your brand-new Toyota Carina, a sleek car that turned heads and captured attention wherever I went. I felt immensely fortunate to drive such a stylish vehicle.

As an adult, my wife Buki and I eagerly look forward to your regular visits. Not only because we know we’ll be treated to a mouthwatering array of delicious orishisi meals and assorted delicacies, but also because of your incredible generosity and love towards my children, especiallyYosola, who resembles you so much.

Here’s to you, dear sister, on your 60th birthday! Wishing you a day filled with love, laughter, and joy, and a year ahead that’s as wonderful as you are! With all my love,

Your Aburo,

Rotimi
