Lagos Real Estate player, Prince Kazeem Eletu-Odibo and his siblings on Sunday 14th June, 2023 held a prayer session to mark the 8th days their beloved mother, Late Mrs. Janet Eletu Odibo was buried.  The prayer was held at the deceased resident along Chief Bamidele Eletu Street in Osapa London area, Ajah, Lagos.

Gracing the event were family, friends and well-wishers of Mama Janet who died on the 4th of June, 2023 at age 78.  They all joined the children of the deceased, Prince Kazeem and his 3 other siblings in honouring the departed soul of their mother.  Mama Janet before her death was a prayer warrior of note. She was the founder and General Overseer of Ori-Oke Majemu Beere Kosi Rigba C&S church, a prayer mountain translated to ‘Ask! It shall be given’…. Her love for her children is unrivalled as she was always after their success in life.

The officiating pastor who ministered at the event was the highly revered Prophet Dele Ogundipe; the General Overseer of Genesis Global. He did well in delivering thought provoking sermon which got into the audience consciences. He called their attention to the inevitable fact about death which would eventually happen to everybody someday. He however asked them to start pondering on what people would say about them when they die.  Prophet Ogundipe in the course of his sermon gave Prince Kazeem and his siblings the opportunity to speak about their late mum in public. Below are the excerpts:

Mrs. Sherifat: “ My mother was a very blunt person. She never harboured hatred for those that offended her.  Our mum was the patient type who easily reconcile with people. I give thanks to God for the upbringing she gave us.

Mrs. Musili: “My mother was a caring woman. She was lovely and very accommodating. She never allow anybody around her to be intimidated at any time. She also detested having people around her suffer. My mother was a prayer warrior. Since I have known her from birth, she has always been prayerful. Even when she was on meditation and needed to sleep to rest well, she would still stay awake to prayer at the significant moments of prayers in the mid-night. She always promoted peaceful coexistence among her children and people around her. If God gives me the privilege of choosing a mother for the second time, I will still choose my mother. I’m indeed proud of having her as my mother.”

Prince Kazeem: “my mother suffered greatly after the death of my father. It was a difficult time for the family but the bore the burden of raising us. Despite the many challenges she faced, she remained steadfast in her faith and prayer. She didn’t lose hope and never gave up. Her commitment to prayer was a source of strength for me. And I know that her prayer helped me succeed in life. I might not be where am I today if not for her love, guidance and prayers. My mother was a woman of great faith. She believes that with God, all things are possible. She taught me to trust in God and to never give up on my dreams. She instilled in me a sense of purpose and the desire to make a difference in the world. Today, I can stand before to proclaim that my mother’s prayer has been answered. Through her inter-cations, I have achieved milestones. Her prayers guide me through the darkness of times and propelled me towards a future filled with hopes and promises.   Although my mother was not physically with us, her spirit lives in every aspect of my life. Her legacy of faith and prayer is forever imprinted in my heart. I’m constantly reminded of her strength, unwavering devotion and believe in the transformation power of prayer. The legacy is one I will always carry along with me. As we mourn her passing, let’s also celebrate her life and the legacy she left behind. Let us remember her as a woman of faith, caring mother and inspiration to us all.

Mr. Samson: “I always say can anymore love me like my mum. Whenever I return from work, she was the one I see. I would miss her a lot but we know God loves her more.

Prince Kareem and his siblings are putting preparing in top gear towards hosting a reception party in honour of their mother. This would be announced in due course. The ceremony is going to the classy as the Eletu-Odibo are noble family in Lagos known for hosting their guests well at events.
