The Catholic Men Organization, Kaduna Archdiocese has recognized Senator Shehu Sani for his service to humanity and exemplary leadership in society. The organization titled the award “Voice of the Masses” in recognition of his invaluable contributions to fighting injustices and his resolute disposition towards the plights of the masses.

During the presentation ceremony in Kaduna, Mr Bature Joel Madaki, the leader of the delegation and the chairman of the 2023 convention of the organization, spoke on behalf of the Catholic Men Organization and said that the decision to honour the former lawmaker was to encourage him to remain a dependable voice of the masses. The Catholic Men Organization (CMO) recognizes that Senator Shehu Sani has always represented and spoken for the masses, even before he was elected as a lawmaker. The award is a way of supporting him for all he has been doing for humanity.

After receiving the award, Senator Shehu Sani thanked the Catholic Church for appreciating his modest contribution to humanity. He believes that an award is a path to the future and an encouragement for the recipient to do more. Senator Sani also acknowledged the Catholic Church’s tremendous contributions to the socio-economic life of the people of Kaduna state, especially in education, health, peace, and harmonious coexistence.

Senator Sani revealed that unfortunately, over the years, religious leaders have suffered greatly in the hands of bandits and terrorists. He condemned every aspect of these attacks on the church and other parts of the state. He believes that he and other stakeholders in the state have a role to play by intensifying efforts to cement the divide that exists between the Northern and Southern parts of the state. Senator Sani concluded that the river that divides the Northern and Southern parts of Kaduna should be a source and fountain for peace, unity, and a cordial relationship between them.
