The government of Dr. Alex Otti of Abia State, few weeks ago presented staff of office and Certificate of Recognition to Apostle Chinyere Gift Chibuzor, as Eze of Ikwu Orie Ohanku Ndoki autonomous community, after due recognition by Abia State House of Assembly.
The staff of office and certificate of recognition were presented on behalf of the governor by the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Uzo Nwachukwu, who said that his office followed due process in the acceptance of Apostle Chibuzor as Eze-elect of his community. The Permanent Secretary of the Ministry, Mrs. Florence Nwogu and the Director of Chieftaincy affairs, Chuka Agomoh, said that the Apostle met all the requirements to be made a recognised Monarch of Ikwu Orie Ohanku Ndoki autonomous community and was equally, accepted by his community to be their Eze.
The new traditional Ruler who doubles as the General Overseer of Omega Power Ministries OPM with headquarters in Port Harcourt Rivers State, told his audience while accepting the staff of office and Certificate of Recognition that he decided to accept the traditional rulership position so as to usher in peace and development in his autonomous community.
Few weeks ago Apostle Chibuzor welcomed Twainese business team who are manufacturers of Tyers for cars, tricycles and heavy duty trucks. The Twainese business team were taken to Ohanku Ndoki autonomous community for the presentation and inspection of the site to be used for the Tyre industry.
ATEKE TOM BECOMES 1ST CLASS KING IN RIVERS STATE
On Saturday 2nd of March, 2024 the people of Wakirikese Be Se of Okrika Local Government Area and Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area came out en masse to honour their Paramount Ruler Amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom, His Eminent ATEKE TOM. Present at the occasion was the Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency Sir Siminialayi Fubara and the entire traditional rulers and good people of Okrika, their friends and well-wishers.
Before this event, King ATEKE TOM, was a 2nd Class Traditional Ruler of Okochiri Kingdom installed with a staff of office and certificate of recognition during the tenures of former Governor Nyesom Ezebunwo Wike. During the event, the State Governor Fubara, made the all important pronouncement that set the arena agog with cheers, jubilation and absolute happiness as the Wakirikese Be Se ethnic people of Ijaw ethnic nationality especially, the entire residents of Okrika and Ogu/Bolo Local Government Areas saw this elevation of the stool of Amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom as a good omen for good things to come their ways.
The Rivers State Governor, Fubara, a Silverbird Media Group award recipient as Peace Advocate of the Year, told the crowd that there’s ongoing organic rally across the 23 LGAs of the state which he sees as a positive acceptance of his government by the people of Rivers State in honour of his Supreme Court election petition victory.
The former Minister of Transportation and a Peoples Democratic Party chieftain in Rivers State, Dr. Abiye Precious Sekibo, told the audience why Wakirikese Be Se community took the decision to celebrate Amanyanabo, King ATEKE TOM because of his contributions in bringing peace to various communities of Niger Delta region South South Nigeria. Thus, the Amanyanabo of Okochiri Kingdom was honoured by the apex traditional Ruler of Okrika with the title of Be Se. With this First Class Traditional Ruler status, it has given the good people of Wakirikese Be Se a voice in the scheme of things in Rivers State and beyond. Few years ago the government of Nyesom Wike, also recognised Sergeant Chidi Abuse as Eze Ohna of Emouha kingdom and got him elevated to First Class status and Chairman of Council of Rivers State Traditional Rulers.
