This is the interesting story of how this popular Movie lady, Iya Aafin Bukola Adeyemi(BB Best) fell in love with 2 different Movie Veterans, at various times, over the last few years. They are Baba Suwe and Baba Suara.
The interview was held in the comfort of her home in Ikorodu, Lagos State.
Iyaafin Bukola Adeyemi was born on the 9th of June 1965, and she’s a popular Makeup artist who majors in Movie effects. She is a valued crew member in the Yoruba movie industry. She spoke about how she got into the Movie industry and those who trained her. She said she got into the film industry in 1986 and was known for passionately taking her job.
She spoke about her marital life and how she fell out with her first husband and decided not to be with any man again until she was advised by veteran actress Iya Rainbow, who told her to look for a good man and settle with him. After being wooed by so many men, she eventually settled for Baba Suwe, and they had a rosy relationship until his wife Omoladun came back, and she had to leave him, because of troubles that she wasn’t ready for. She stayed single for two years, until Baba Suara came with love intention for her, which she gladly accepted, and later resulted in a child, who is now a Big Boy. Eventually, she said she had to leave Baba Suara because of his love for Women and went back to being single.
However, in the cause of her being single, she was told Baba Suwe was critically ill and needed a woman to care for him, which she agreed to because they didn’t fight their separation. But Baba Suwe’s son didn’t seem to like her that much and he asked her to tell her children if they would accept her leaving the house to cater for a man she had no child with. She did. And they accepted.
After moving in with Baba Suwe and catering for him, she helped him solicit funds to continue his treatment. She said Prophetess Esther Ajayi gave them the sum of 10 million naira, then they eventually realised the total of about 44.3 million naira. She said that was when the trouble started and Baba Suwe’s son shut her out. She said his son told her not to touch his father’s money, and she made it clear that she didn’t intend to do so. But she reminded Baba Suwe that they needed to give Baba Kola Olootu 1 million naira for helping them put it in public, she said they were also meant to give Yomi Fabiyi 500 thousand naira and to lastly give the man who linked them to Rev. Esther Ajayi, the sum of 10 per cent all of which Baba Suwe agreed to do.
Preparations were being made to take Baba Suwe abroad for further treatment. Baba Suwe asked BB Best to come with him and he made preparations for her Passport. And Baba Suwe suggested they should quickly go to the Marriage registry, first, so as not to have issues at the embassy. But she said his son refused and warned her against it, and said he will be the one to travel with his father because he knew more about his medics.
After they came back from the travel she said she was given the sum of 500 Hundred Thousand, and she informed Baba Suwe and he told her to use it to get a shop, she did and when she went back to ask for money for goods to stock up the shop with she wasn’t given any, and still she didn’t take any offence.
Despite the ordeal she went through, she isn’t giving up. ” She trusts in God and hopes things will still turn around in her favour. She lives happily with her kids in Ikorodu and is grateful to God and hopes she will be remembered by her helpers soon.
