Through strategic partnerships, unwavering faith, and her unique approach to customer service, Fadekemi has solidified her reputation as a trusted real estate expert in Lagos and beyond. In this exclusive interview with City People’s Jamiu Abubakar, she reflects on her entrepreneurial journey, shares the lessons she’s learned, and reveals the secrets behind her success in a highly competitive industry.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself and what you do?
I am Fadekemi Falokun, the CEO and Lead Consultant at Star Homes Realty. My company specializes in all aspects of real estate—buying and selling land and houses, as well as trading properties. Essentially, if it involves real estate, we are in the business of making it happen. My goal has always been to help clients secure smart investments and find properties that meet their needs.
How long have you been in the real estate industry?
I’ve been active in the real estate industry for five years now.
What has kept you motivated throughout these five years?
God has been my ultimate source of strength. His guidance has connected me to incredible clients and opportunities, and He continues to sustain me. I’m truly grateful for the journey so far.
Where is your company located, and what areas do you serve?
We recently relocated to Block F4, Suites 3-5, HFP Eastline Complex, Abraham Adesanya, Ajah, Lagos. Previously, we operated out of Sangotedo, near Children’s Place Plaza. Our services cover various parts of Lagos and extend to other states as well.
Can you share how your journey in real estate began and how it has evolved?
Before establishing Star Homes Realty, I worked with top developers, including PWAN Group, DD Real Estate, and Henry Montego Homes. Partnering with these firms gave me a solid foundation in the industry and exposed me to invaluable insights and connections. When I eventually launched my own company two to three years ago, I already had the experience and relationships needed to succeed. To date, I continue to collaborate with these developers, which has been instrumental in my company’s growth.
What strategies have helped you maintain steady growth in such a competitive industry?
I would say consistency, strong partnerships, and a deep commitment to client satisfaction have been my greatest assets. Building trust with my clients and ensuring they receive the best value keeps them coming back and referring others. For me, success in real estate isn’t just about closing deals—it’s about creating lasting relationships.
