Lagos state government’s Christmas Carol service held at the Lagos House, Ikeja on Friday December 22nd 2017. The Chrismas Carol saw many dignitaries arrive to worship and enjoy themselves. Among those is attendance is the Lagos State Governor, Ambode, his wife and host of ministers.
Speaking at the event, Her Excellency, Mrs. Abolanle Ambode stressed the importance of Christmas as the time to reflect on the essence of the season, which is the love of God for mankind.
She stated;
Christmas is a period to show appreciation to God for sparing our lives;for His goodness to us and for His unconditional love for us, as stated in Romans 5:8 which reads; “But God shows us his love for us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us”
She implores celebrating Christians to be of good cheer for God’s love is eternal and He will meet everyone at the point of his needs.
