They had their white wedding at the Vatican in Rome amid pomp and pageantry and the service was conducted by a Catholic Priest, the Rev. ft, Malachy Ephraim, who is the Parish Priest of St. Charle’s Iwanga Catholic Parish, Essien Town, Calabar.

How do you feel being at a former Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu daughter’s wedding?
I am very happy to be here. I am also happy to be one of the sponsors with my husband, I am one of those who believe so much in marriage. I am very happy with the couple and excited that we are the sponsors of the wedding.
What do you wish the new couple?
I wish them many good things that they wish themselves. I wish them more love than we are seeing today among many couples. I pray they live in love forever.
You recently renewed marriage vows with your husband after 23 years of marriage, how do you feel?
Oh! How did you know? Like I said, I believe so much in marriage and I feel very excited about this. The wish of every woman is to be with the Love of her life.
Why did you decide to renew your vows at the Vatican, Rome?
For every Catholic, the Pope is like the biggest regeant of God on earth. For me, that we crowned our relationship at the Vatican was a great thing. Like you said, my husband and I got married in 1994, so we have been married for 23 years traditionally. So, marrying in the Vatican was our white wedding.
What is the secret of a successful marriage?
First, is friendship. You must be friends to start with. There is no marriage where there is no friendship. My husband and I were friends before we became lovers and later got married.
When was that?
I have known my husband since I was 20 years old. He was 30 years old then. I was a student in the University of Calabar and he was a young Commissioner for Works.
How did you fall in love with him?
He is a good man with a good heart. Very humble and down to earth.
What do you do?
I run a school called Star Bright School in Abuja.
You are very fashionable; where did you get your fashion trait?
It is all about me and what I believe in. I believe that everybody has a style.
What do you call your husband?
I call him his name.
You have a very nice black skin, many would have thought of bleaching?
Bleaching? It is not for me. I believe in myself. It is all about confidence and believing in one self. I don’t need to change my compelexion to look beautiful. I love myself the way I am.
