Governor Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State has charged local hunters in the state to protect the Ekiti people against Fulani herdsmen whose killing of innocent Nigerians have been on the rise lately.
In a tweet on Wednesday, the Ekiti governor said he met with local hunters on the Fulani herdsmen menace and charged them to protect the people since he would not run to anybody in Abuja for help.
”On the herdsmen’s menace, I met with local hunters in Ekiti State today and charged them to protect the people since I won’t run to anyone in Abuja for help that is not available.
They must not take laws into their hands, but they should defend Ekiti & its people,” Fayose tweeted.
