Reveals 5 Truth About This New Year
Every New Year is a journey, a journey of 365 kilometers. Every New Year has no name, except the name you give to it. According to Genesis 2: 19, after God had created everything in the garden He brought them to Adam for naming. Whatever name Adam called them, God approved. It is therefore scriptural to give your things name. Do not let circumstances; forces of nature, situations, and other people give your things name. After all, parents put heads together to give babies in the family names. People have different reasons why their babies names are what they are called. In the same way, give every year, month, and week a name. There are two operational words in the phrase: ‘NEW REALM’. These are NEW and REALM. The word ‘NEW’ means current, state-of-the-art, latest, never used
before and fresh. This year is a brand new year, 2017 has never been before, and therefore everyone should expect new things in this year for it won’t be like last year. So, get ready for new achievement, new attainment, new/breakthrough and every new thing you desire. On the other, hand, ‘REALM’
means a kingdom, a territory, an environment, a province, and an atmosphere. So, welcome to your new realm means welcome to your new domain.
5 TRUTHS ABOUT WELCOMING YOU TO THE NEW YEAR
See the new realm: You must possess the capacity to see the .new realms. This means among other things, opportunities, and possibilities before you. It is not what you can see with physical eyes but with your faith eyes. This year will be a better year than last year, see it that way. Whatever last year was, look away from it, It’s gone. We are in a brand new year. In Philippians 3: 13. Apostle Paul said: ‘this one thing’ I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press towards the mark’. If at all you must look at the past, it must be to praise God and also pick whatever lessons you can learn from it. This year holds better opportunities for you than all the previous years you have ever spent on earth. Do not see this year as gloomy and tough as last year was. The present recession is not a reason to be discouraged. Avoid using the word ‘recession’ rather, use the
word ‘possession’. Let the past be past. Whatever it is, don’t cry after the spilled milk, it’s already gone. See this year the way God wants you to see it. When God spoke to Abraham about a son of promise and he still did not understand it, God brought him out of the tent and showed him stars in the sky. Please come out of the tent, so you can see the New Realms. Whatever you don’t see will never come. The question is what do you see in this New Year concerning your business, career and calling. Forget the former things do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it shall spring up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland (Isaiah 43:18-19). You must be able to put the past behind you because if you are crippled with your past, you won’t be able to move to your future. No matter what has happened, God is still God. Whatever you lost last year is gone: you need not wear it on your face; life has to go on not minding what they did against you. In vs. 19, it says behold I do a new thing; open your eyes. This year, do not go about with your eyes closed. There are opportunities everywhere, there are innovations and information. The present world of ours is information driven and technology dominated; there are things you will hear and see that will provoke the dormant energy inside of you. You have to activate your potential energy to kinetic this year. You have to run with what God has given you. Do not let your past failures; your past misadventures cast a shadow over your life. You have to take your mind away from your past because everybody has a past. Somebody said if what you got last time is still very big before you, it means you have not done much lately.
(2) SEE NEW VISION:
Vision is the mental picture of a desired future. Vision is dynamic. See a new vision for your career, ministry, calling, home, business and family. A new vision is a new image. Image is the root word for the word imagine or imagination. So, form a new image of a new you, of your business, children, income and career. Unless you have a picture in mind, your future is uncertain. Carry a picture of your future in your spirit as you go about your journey in this New Year. If what you hope to earn this year is what you earned last year, then you will be poorer this year than last year. So, see your new desired income, sales, customers, clien~s, turnover, house, car, impact and product. See a big picture of your children. You must see a king in a kid just as Moses’ mother saw at that time they were killing male children. People talk about the “good old days”. It is wrong for there are more opportunities now than before. Ten or fifteen years ago, who could have imagined the level of information technology we now have. Can you imagine what the world will be in 20 years’ time? There are driverless cars about to be introduced. The world is moving at such a rate that if you stay behind, you will be left out. Moses’ mother saw a king in an infant, hence she hid him; what do you see in your business, career or children? Can you see a brighter future? If you can see what others cannot see, you will do and take steps they cannot take. See greatness in your future. If Joseph did not see a great future for himself, he would have surrendered to Potiphar’s wife which was the mistake Samson made. Samson surrendered his great future on the laps of a prostitute. Esau too could not see far more than the temporal hunger, the Bible says you must not be like Esau who surrendered his future for a morsel of bread. I will not deceive you, temptation will always come until we breathe our last. It is not a sin, it is falling into it that is sinful. If Joseph had fallen into Madam Potiphar’s temptation, that would have been the end of his destiny. Do not allow anything to take your future from you. Always see beyond now; see beyond the present, see possibilities in difficulties; see beyond the present temporal set back.
(3) FORM A NEW LANGUAGE:
Change your utterances to conform to your imagined new realm. If you see what others can’t see, you will talk like they can’t talk. Proverbs 18:21 ‘The tongue has the power of life and
death, and those who love it will eat its fruit’ Many have killed their miracle seed with the bullets they fired with their mouths, with the negative things they say to themselves, to their spouses, children and career. In life what you say is what you see. Line up your language, with your desired new realms. Do not allow discouragement to set in, but keep encouraging yourself. Job’s wife told him to curse God and die, his friends also discouraged him. Be careful who you listen ‘to, who you
allow to speak to your life. The Bible says: ‘and David encouraged himself in the Lord’ (ISamuel 30: 6) when all the soldiers he depended on failed him. This is not a year to get discouraged; see possibility in difficulty. Do not give up on what God has given to you; just hold on to it. He did not say it would be challenge-free but he promised to see us through. Never give up no matter what difficulty you are facing. Do not give up on your dreams. Joseph saw a dream at 17 and did not mount the throne until he was 30. There is no expiry date for dreams; keep
dreaming and keep holding on to them. Psalm 121: 2. “My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth’. See the possibilities before you. The Red Sea looked intimidating before Moses and the children of Israel but at the lifting up of the rod, it parted.
(4) WORK HARDER
THIS YEAR
Now that you know this is your new realm, then work harder on your career, programs, journeys and businesses than before. Lazy people are not for new realm. Greatness does not go to the lazy, be hardworking, wake up early, and sleep late; face your business and wish others well. It is your promotion that will announce you. Successful people work harder because he who is on the floor is not afraid to fall but the person on top must be diligent and careful maintain the balance. Students must work harder on their academics excel academically, ditto for all on every field.
(5) Serve God better than before. Romans 13: Ll c says Our salvation nearer now than when we first believed’. God’s coming is very near, serve God better this year than you ever did. Have a fruitful year.
