8 Women Accuse Hollywood Veteran Actor Morgan Freeman Of Sexual Harassment

8 women have come out to accuse veteran Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour. This is according to reports by CNN which revealed that about 16 individuals have so far come out during this investigation to testify either as victims or as witnesses to the allegations against Morgan.

One of the accusers, a young production assistant,  who in the summer of 2015, worked with the actor on a project “Going In Style,” a bank heist comedy which also stars  Michael Caine and Alan Arkin said Mr Freeman subjected her to unwanted touching and comments about her figure and clothing almost on a daily basis.

In one incident, she alleged, Freeman “kept trying to lift up my skirt and asking if I was wearing underwear”, also saying that it took the intervention of Alan Arkin who helped to rebuke Morgan.

Another woman who was a senior member of the production staff of the movie “Now You See Me” in 2012 also told CNN that Freeman had sexually harassed her and her female assistant on numerous occasions by making inappropriate comments about their bodies.

Freeman who is often described as the ‘Voice of God’ for his impeccable voice texture is one of Hollywood’s greatest and respected actors with over 5 decades of active acting career, that has seen him star in top-grossing movies like ‘Million Dollar Baby’, ‘Avengers’, ‘Driving Miss Daisy’ and more.

The 80-Year-old actor becomes the latest high profile Hollywood star to be involved in a sexual harassment scandal after the cases of top Hollywood movie producer Harvey Weinstein and Veteran Comedian Bill Cosby who was recently convicted for sexually assaulting over 40 women after drugging them.

Reacting to the allegations, a representative for Freeman in a statement, said: “Anyone who knows me or has worked with me knows I am not someone who would intentionally offend or knowingly make anyone feel uneasy.

“I apologize to anyone who felt uncomfortable or disrespected — that was never my intent.”
