Arsenal left it till very late before clinching victory over Watford in their Sunday Premiere league encounter, and Nigerian International, Alex Iwobi has not stopped praising his side.
Iwobi who was full of praise for his team after they moved another step closer to the Premier League title only saw 69 minutes of the encounter before he was replaced by Francis Coquelin.
The Super Eagles forward saw his side battle to a crucial 2-1 victory versus Burnley, a result that propels them to second position behind Chelsea at the top of the table.
The Gunners were forced to dig as the Clarets mounted a spirited response, though, and Iwobi was effusive in his praise of his teammates and fans for their attitude in sealing a vital win
‘’Everyone dug in today & showed our determination to get the three points … fans were amazing & kept singing till the end,’’ Iwobi tweeted.
Arsene Wenger’s men now boast of 47 points from 22 games – a point and two points ahead of Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool respectively.
Arsenal host mid-table placed Watford in their next league encouter on January 31.
