Captains of industry, technology vendors, enthusiasts and the media came together at Marriott Marquis Hotel located in downtown Houston in Texas, United States on 7th September 2018 for the Houston Tech Summit. It was an event that witnessed presentations from some of the biggest names in the provision of technological products in the United States and around the world.
The event was an avenue to come to speed and stay abreast with the current trends in the world of Information Technology. The summit enabled operators and industry watchers to learn about best practices adopted by corporations and the challenges they faced to arrive at their current position in the scheme of things. It also allowed attendees to discover new technologies they never know existed.
Topics which were fleshed out at the Tech Summit included those on cyber-security, hyper-converged secondary storage for backup as well as Artificial Intelligence for Information Technology operations that can predict revenue impacting business outages. Also discussed was the future of high-performance storage and overcoming the paint-points of remote IT
support via modern and efficient techniques.

An interesting part of the event was networking by vendors and enthusiasts as well as other attendants of the Tech Summit. There was also the exhibition of products and offerings by a handful of vendors and sponsors at the event. A lot of the attendees hailed the networking opportunities at the event.
Key sponsors of the event, some of whom made presentations at the event include CNP Technologies, Spectrum Enterprise, XMedius and Navigate. Digital storage giants, Western Digital also made presentations at the summit.
The Houston Tech Summit was organized by Executive Summits, which according to it, “operates a large number of best practices groups globally and also hosts key business learning events to bring together thought leaders to share best practices”.
